As a psychiatrist, you are in high demand, so you in some ways are coming in with an advantage. Ask for what you need. Again, think about points in Q1 (soul-searching). But re: salaries, VA & state/public university salaries are publicly available and AAMC & MGMA have paid data.

What does the day-to-day look like, how does evening/holiday coverage work, your specific roles & responsibilities, any supervision of mid-levels, breakdown of clinical time & other time (full-time clinical needs some admin time!), CME & licensing fees

During the search, I was wondering in general how my career would look and whether I would find the right fit. Thankfully, I did. But if not, it's easy to leave-- many people leave their first job within a few months or the first year. It's part of the process!
