I didn't think I'd finally get arrested yelling lines from pro-wrestling, but here we are. Proud to stand up for students with disabilities and other minoritized students against this awful administration.

In total, PA Education Choice Fund, which has bveen entirely funded by Jeff Yass, has provided three Senate Republican incumbents -- Frank Farry, Tracy Pennycuick and Rosemary Brown -- with $7.2 million from June to October, per CF reports.

Should a single man be able to plow millions into one state senate race? I think this is legalized corruption that we ought to end.
And newsflash: Jeff Yass’s millions to wreck public schools and unions across PA aren’t going to work. We count ballots on Election Day, not dollars. And we’re going to win in November all over PA.

Apparently Beacon Coalition is based out of Pittsburg; so now you have @ThirdWayTweet funneling money and funding out of state actors to actively campaing for Mike Rogers against @AbdulElSayed

This is Tommy. Tommy had a question about my allegiances. Listen to the end to hear about his.

It is a voucher, and in states like Texas it's going to exacerbate structural inequities. But, folks are making plans to grab the cash and losing focus on the real issues of systemic funding that's needed for all students, not just those in areas served by an SGO.

Supreme Court rules in our favor.
“A lot of honest, determined people sacrificed more than most know to get this ruling enforced and finalized,” said Andrew Goldstein, Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter and president of the Newspaper Guild of Pittsburgh.

Remember when John Oliver opened a church to expose how easy it was to get tax exemptions?
This year, ProPublica reporters set out to establish private schools to test if, truly, anyone could open one.
We founded two. Here’s how.

New: ProPublica designed a reporting experiment to demonstrate how easy it can be to open private schools that might then access public money. We succeeded in opening two schools. No credentials or background checks required. propub.li/4dQIQAA

We found at least two charter schools that used Alpha’s AI program where students performed significantly worse on state-mandated tests than what Alpha leaders projected.
Now at least three Texas public school districts are using Alpha's AI tool.

Maybe you can attend school for free but if you want a chair, that costs extra. And you can get a desk or table for an additional fee.
The way to actually get more money for our schools without falling into Trump's trap:
1. Tax the Rich (really, do it)
2. Eliminate corporate giveaways
3. Hold PRIVATEERS accountable
4. Elect pro-public candidates
5. Don't fall for Trump's voucher scam - no matter what state
I have no real interest in some arbitrary number of blue states that get in/out of the tax credit. I’m focused on the question of public school revenue.
But if I were trying to maximize the blue state number, I’d be pushing Treasury very hard right now on its expense guidance to be very explicit and expansive about the tutoring, afterschool, summer school etc pieces.
These are clearly allowable under the law, and in opt-in states, public school-facing groups are already planning it out.
But in hold-out states, the new suspicion is Treasury will use the expense guidance to rule out key public school categoricals.
Needless to say, that would be the wrong ruling, but its possibility is now being raised among some groups as one more ambiguity to keep blue states from going in.

what recourse for the children deprived of an education under a state voucher program? schoolfinance101.com/2026/10… likely none!

When a child reaches age 18 to realize that their parents deprived them of a formal education using a state funded, minimally regulated program to buy random stuff, disney trips, etc., what recourse does the child have? They most certainly suffer life long damages?
