At Link:NYC, James Kim of Xangle and Hanwha joined @AndrewMcMarkets of @chainlink Labs to discuss Hanwha's global tokenization strategy and its new partnership with Chainlink
Hanwha, one of Korea's largest conglomerates, is launching an RWA investment hub out of Abu Dhabi, going live in Q1 2027.
It will start with high net worth individuals before expanding into wider digital asset services, part of a push to build a "digital Silk Road" connecting East and West
The conversation covered why institutions are turning to #Chainlink.
After years of POCs and pilots, many found they can't do everything in-house, especially across international assets and multiple chains. The two starting points were price discovery before assets are distributed globally, and trust in data coming from external sources
Beyond CCIP and price feeds, the partnership looks ahead to custody and compliance support as Hanwha makes a long-term bet on the space. 🙌🏽
