It was a fantastic idea for Prince William to appear @TheGNShow @BBC1 with Cate Blanchett, Hannah Waddingham and Robert Irwin who all promote his superb project The Earthshot Prize, next held in Mumbai next month. He always has such a superb mix from showbiz as guests @KensingtonRoyal

I know I write about the royals, but this from Aberfan today just broke me.
It’s from Diane Thomas, 78, a rescuer from the Red Cross who was only 18 at the time of the disaster, and spoke to Prince William.
She said: ‘The chapel had been converted into a mortuary so I spent three nights in the mortuary, bathing the children, to try and get slurry off their little faces so their parents could recognise them.
‘I took the anorak off one little boy, put my hand in his pocket and came out [with a note that] he’d had eight out of 10 for spelling. I’ve been trying all these years to think about how I can trace his mum. I can’t but I want to tell her because I was the last person to hold him and bathe him.’
This is why today is so important.

Prince Harry says he would like to 'reconcile' with his family news.sky.com/story/prince-ha… this was shambolic! He can’t understand the simplest truth. Whilst he and Meghan have a symbiotic relationship with the press they affect to loathe there is no chance whatever of any healing!
I can’t help thinking that King Charles, when Prince of Wales, was correct in describing the building of the British Library as “an assembly hall for an academy of secret police”. It’s very efficient inside though. Interesting rule that only pencils are permitted.
Happier days for relations between Prince William and Prince Harry, though painted just after the 1990s, a cataclysmic decade for the RF. Visited @NPGLondon and saw John Wonnacott’s monumental painting back up in the contemporary section.

Today, The Princess of Wales has commissioned @Earlychildhood to take forward new work examining how nature can support the healthy development of babies and young children, with a new programme set to launch next year.
Supported by founding partner The Duchy of Cornwall, the work will explore how nature, creativity and relationships can help nurture the social and emotional skills that underpin lifelong health and wellbeing. 🌳
