The “intelligence” that Kennedy is referring to are Israeli talking points pushed by Israeli lobbyists like Dubowitz.
In the lead up to the war Israeli gov officials & lobbyists were pushing this nonsense but there was zero actual intel to support these outlandish claims.

I know a lot of folks are talking about the election results, but this tweet, from a sitting @VP, is stunning. The decision to go to war is the most solemn responsibility that a President and Vice President have as leaders.
So for you to reduce it to a simple political calculation while we still have 50,000 troops in the Middle East, is one of the most crass, cynical things I've seen. You and President Trump got us into this war, without a clear objective and without regard for the will of the American people. It's cost us American lives and billions of dollars of American treasure, with no end in sight.

But maybe the threat of being replaced will force them to instead let the house and senate use this opportunity to deliver relief to the US public on healthcare and restore the government institutions and functions the GOP has taken a wrecking ball to.
Spoilers like Fetterman no longer matter. But there will likely be a ferocious internal battle over the soul of the party, largely centering around Israel and medicare for all.
