I have very exciting news that we have been working on for a long time and it’s now official. Protect a Volunteer now has a Memorandum of Cooperation and Interaction with the Foreign Recruitment Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For OPSEC purposes I am not sharing the exact details of the agreement. However we are looking forward to working on the shared goals of helping more foreigners come to assist Ukraine’s fight and provide them with appropriate support once they arrive. Ukraine’s defense of its own territory is remarkable; so are the contribution of foreign volunteers who fight with them. Integrating thousands of volunteers coming from all around the world has not been easy. It understandably took time for Ukraine to formalize a system to be able to expand their recruitment of foreigners as well as the opportunities they have in Ukraine. Now that it is formalized under a central command we are looking forward to working together. We will have a lot of updates soon regarding this partnership.

Word of warning for anyone in Ukraine: Twitter just tried to turn on my location settings without me trying to change them. I had to manually opt out after it had already turned on. Use a VPN.

Damn it’s Tuesday I forgot to do my regularly scheduled crash out time to yell about how PAV ruined your life but for the first time ever people were normal for a week and didn’t do that.

The best way to build political power in this country is to kneecap the more progressive candidates right before the election. Genius move here.
The DSA National Political Committee has voted to unendorse and expel Nithya Raman She has until October 31 to express clear direct support for BDS to retain endorsement, and until January 1 to condemn weapon shipments for Israel out of LAX to remain a member of DSA Both resolutions are linked below

Is any other state getting political ads this weird or are we special? I don’t understand the audience for this because it’s old ladies talking smack but using language that would offend an older audience.
Josh Turek is full of it. Just watch ⬇️

On Oct. 19, a Russian strike on a Kharkiv park killed five people, including a 1-year-old girl. @CBSNews obtained photos showing air-defense radars offline that day due to SpaceX’s Starlink restrictions. Alina Spichak walked me through the last steps of her sister Yulia, who died there.

This is horrific. Residents of occupied Oleshky who wish to escape to free Ukraine will not be allowed to cross the Dnipro River – which is less than 4 km away. They will be taken to occupied Crimea or to the Russian Federation, where they will be subjected to coercive measures.

Anyone on earth can pay the Trump family for custom foreign policy. Imagine the billions Russians have funneled to Kushner in exactly the same manner.
This book is really damning for Kushner. It claims the UAE paid Kushner $50 million to get Rex Tillerson fired as Secretary of State.

China's secret police have detained you. You are hooded or blindfolded, handcuffed, abducted to a secret location, locked in a padded cell, and threatened with severe punishment for "harming China". My cover story in @thewirechina: thewirechina.com/2026/10/25/… 1/7

It’s amazing that in 2008 we were all able to figure out that no candidate can agree with you on everything but if you pick the one that is closest you get closer to getting what you want. Now in 2026 it’s people saying they won’t vote if they don’t have perfection.
In 2008, Barack Obama explicitly rejected legalizing same sex marriage. In that same term he won, he nominated two Supreme Court justices: Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor. Just 5 years after, those two were deciding votes on Obergefell. By their fruits you shall know them.

Crucial, must-read piece. Sudanese lives are worth no less than any others. The appointment of UN Secretary General must reflect that. Being an elite diplomat—even being a first on multiple levels (first woman, Muslim, ethnic Palestinian)—can never erase the war crimes in Sudan.
‘The appointment of Nusseibeh, who has been the face of the UAE’s Sudan strategy, would be a slap in the face to the millions of people suffering the horrors of war, and a dereliction of duty towards those thousands who have already been killed.’ theguardian.com/commentisfre…

During the first Gulf war my neighbor was in the Navy and deployed. My family sent him a care package and my contribution was sending him my miniature basketball hoop and ball that I won because I read the most books for the Pizza Hut reading challenge. I got that and a pizza. Then I wrote a note that said I gave it to him because he was on a boat and boats are boring so here is a basketball. It turns out boats ARE really boring and to this day he still remembers that.
By the time I got to the war, the infrastructure was such that while we loved the candy, razors etc. in the care packages, the real treats were these absolutely unhinged kids greeting cards. We used to sit around in the DFAC giving dramatic readings of them, totally out of love. They were so innocent and unintentionally hilarious, which was much needed.

I volunteer to take this guy to a construction site and see if he can build something. That would also require him to come to this district he is trying to represent.
I am the only lifelong Iowan in this race. Running to be the only builder in Congress. With your VOTE, I’ll always represent you with Iowa values and common sense! Vote EARLY today!

Honestly, I think this is the article I am most proud of. Eva died in a double-tap strike while trying to rescue people a few minutes from her home. I attended Eva's funeral and met some of those closest to her.
