Below are two charts, one showing all the major conflicts going on in the world and the deaths accumulated by them in the month of September 2026. The second chart lists the media coverage/headlines and attention those deaths received. We now have real data to back up what many of us have been saying for months on this app. Look at Gaza/Palestine with 120 the “least amount of deaths” where supposedly a genocide is happening but with “the most coverage.” Nigeria had 451 deaths nearly 4 times that of Gaza but received ZERO HEADLINES and they receive $730 MILLION in American taxpayer dollars FY2025. Somalia had 194 deaths, 74 murders than Gaza and receives ZERO HEADLINES and they received $498 MILLION in American taxpayer dollars FY2025. Gaza receives way more headlines, coverage, and attention than Ukraine and they had 6202 deaths in September alone and it’s not considered a GENOCIDE. Nobody’s marching in the streets, protesting, and rioting around the world for Ukrainians. Ethiopia had the 4th largest deaths at 609 and coverage is AGAIN surpassed by Gaza and they received $920 MILLION in American taxpayer dollars in FY2025. None of people talking about Gaza care that the tax dollars are getting to extremists and funding their atrocities. And you wanna know why? Yes it’s antisemitism because it’s a conflict with Jewish people. But ALSO in the other countries it’s the Islamists who are doing the killings mainly, but in Gaza they’re being killed and are pissed about it and the world has to know and pay, as they cry victim.

The war in Gaza is not in the top 10 deadliest conflicts of this century. It has no major economic impact, no critical resources, and no trade routes. The world is obsessed with it for one reason: it involves Jews.

Plus her Japanese translator would have to be murdered, her Italian translator stabbed and her Norwegian publisher shot.
For the Sally Rooney - Salman Rushdie parallel to work, a major Jewish leader would have had to call for her murder, gangs of marauding Jews would have had to burn down bookstores, and a Jewish extremist would have had to stab her eye out with a knife.

One of the most absurd (not to mention offensive) comparisons I’ve seen in a very long time. Salman Rushdie was the victim of an Islamist fatwa; Sally Rooney refuses to stop using her royalties to fund a proscribed terror group.
If you ever sought out the novels of Sally Rooney in bookshops – when that was still possible – you’d know they sit in the fiction stacks adjacent to the novels of another SR whose books have been withdrawn in dastardly political circumstances. Until last week, “Rooney” and “Rushdie” had little in common beyond being shelfmates; now they have more than just a physical proximity. @tanjil_rashid_: This is censorship by other means newstatesman.com/comment/202…

Four brothers went to war against Hitler. Three died. The fourth survived, and his grandson, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, is the president of Ukraine. Zelenskyy comes from a family that fought tyrants: Trump negotiates with them while demanding concessions from their victims.

This comparison is as offensive as it is stupid. Rushdie had to spend years hiding from Islamists who wanted him murdered just for what he wrote, and bookshops faced violent attack if they stocked it.  Rooney’s publisher has stopped supplying her novels purely and simply because she insists on directing royalties to an illegal organisation.  There is a grotesque irony in invoking a man hunted by Islamists to build sympathy for supporters of a proscribed group that is stuffed full of Islamists

I genuinely don't understand how thousands have been slaughtered in the most brutal of ways and nobody seems to care.
Don’t stop talking about the mass slaughter of Christians by Islamists in Nigeria.

In riots, burning, looting & destruction across France Palestinian flags dominate. The craven appeasement of jihadists, such as the likes of Macron turning against Israel has not worked & will not work. There is a lesson here for Western European political leaders.

The creator of the 'Palestine poppy' is an Oxford-educated paediatrician who has written books for Muslim teenagers justifying stoning and warning that homosexuality is 'a test from Allah'. Abdul Qader Ismail was accused of trying to 'hijack' Remembrance Day after he began selling an enamel pin shaped like a poppy in the colours of the Palestinian flag for £1.78 on eBay. The pin is listed as 'not for profit' with money being donated to Gaza charities. The Spectator can now reveal that Ismail is an active member of Greens for Palestine and co-sponsored the group's 'Zionism is Racism' policy. He is also the author of a book series titled An Introduction to Challenging Topics for Muslim Teens. ✍️ Noa Hoffman Article | spectator.com/article/reveal… | @hoffman_noa
