In this full @RadGenuine episode, they explore that belief, the channeled messages we have received, and what preparing beyond food and supplies looks like in daily life for what is to come in the future. Energy transmutation can begin with how we meet the morning. Before the messages, responsibilities, and pressure to get moving, there’s an opportunity to notice what’s happening within us. Are we carrying tension, urgency, or restlessness into the day? @DrMcFillin and @TracyAThurman explore how intention, breath, and presence can help us channel that energy into more deliberate choices and why our internal state matters when we meet the world. When uncertainty feels uncomfortable, the mind can reach for something to analyze, solve, or worry about. But does all that thinking help us understand the feeling or keep us occupied trying to escape it? @DrMcFillin explores this pattern in our conversation on energy transmutation. Becoming aware of what we’re carrying internally is part of learning how to channel that energy into a more intentional response. What do you notice beneath the urge to figure everything out? Watch the full conversation on radicallygenuine.com, YouTube, Rumble, Substack, or any of your favorite podcast players.

When every uncomfortable feeling gets met with a distraction, we miss the chance to understand what’s happening within us. That pattern can start in childhood and follow us into adulthood. @DrMcFillin and @TracyAThurman explore energy transmutation: noticing the emotional energy we carry, sitting with it, and learning to channel it into a more intentional response. Today, Monday, November 2, @DrMcFillin and @TracyAThurman challenge the constant pressure to analyze every feeling, fix every problem, and keep pushing through. In this episode of Radically Genuine, they explore energy transmutation: sitting with what you feel, observing it without judgment, and creating space to respond with intention. Tracy shares a rule she’s been practicing: when a decision feels urgent, pause and find peace before acting. Roger explains why even overthinking can become a way to avoid feeling and how stillness, movement, and morning routines shape the way we meet our day. “The Advice Is Backwards” is out today. I recently read a Medscape article recommending ways physicians can respond to patients influenced by "misinformation," including storytelling and a technique called "pre-bunking." As a psychologist, here's my concern: are these tools helping patients make an informed decision, or steering them toward a decision that's already been made for them? Listening requires being willing to reconsider your own assumptions. That responsibility belongs to the physician, too. You have every right to question your doctor. Ask about the evidence. Ask about the risks. Ask about alternatives. Those questions deserve a thoughtful answer. Your medical autonomy matters. Trust has to be earned. I break this down in one of my latest articles on Substack. drmcfillin.substack.com/p/qu…? r=2etzxz&utm_medium=ios

CHOP’s “Close Your Eyes, We’ll Immunize” program offers shots while children are under anesthesia. The hospital says families must agree. It also acknowledges that time for detailed discussions can be limited. Parents deserve clear information, time to ask questions, and the freedom to decline. Read the documents. Make sure your choices are understood and documented. Share this with a parent who needs to know.

When @JMarzinsky48407 began working at Central State Hospital, he says what he encountered challenged his expectations. Patients were carrying on conversations he could hear only one side of, like listening to someone on the telephone. He became curious about the other side. What were they hearing? What were the voices telling them? And what might he learn by asking? In this clip, Jerry tells @DrMcFillin and @TracyAThurman about the experiences that prompted him to listen more closely and question what he had been taught. What if there's more to hearing voices than we've been willing to explore? Today on Radically Genuine, @DrMcFillin and @TracyAThurman examine the work of retired psychotherapist @JMarzinsky48407, whose decades in psychiatric hospitals and prisons led him to an unconventional spiritual interpretation of schizophrenia and hearing voices. How did the chemical imbalance explanation become so widely accepted? @justin_garson examines how pharmaceutical marketing, psychiatry’s search for medical legitimacy, and patient advocacy helped popularize the idea that depression and anxiety were chemical problems requiring chemical solutions. @DrMcFillin and @TracyAThurman question the corporate interests and power behind that narrative. This Radically Genuine conversation explores how an explanation became a cultural belief. Watch the full episode at radicallygenuine.com

What happens when a prognosis becomes a belief about what’s possible? @DrMcFillin and @TracyAThurman discuss two historical cancer cases: a man whose autopsy findings differed sharply from the disease his doctors expected, and a patient whose tumors reportedly changed as his confidence in an experimental treatment rose and fell. These accounts raise questions about expectation, hope, and the weight of the words we hear about our health. It’s part of the bigger conversation behind You Don’t Always Get What You Want. You Get What You Believe. Watch the full episode at radicallygenuine.com.
