Lights, Camera… Destruction?
A film city is coming up in Raipur, but before the cameras roll, real trees are reportedly being cut down to make way for artificial sets. Tree felling had earlier been halted following protests. Today, the cutting reportedly resumed, and villagers opposing it were taken into police custody @sanket @GargiRawat @hridayeshjoshi
The only good thing about the absolutely terribly written comedy that was Udta Teera was a Virat Kohli backfoot shot towards mid wicket from a 2012 India-Pakistan game.
I find the claims of Phillips' fielding being performative laughable. You don't even need to have played the game to know that the reaction time for the fielder in most cases is in milliseconds. To think that someone would try to be 'performative' in that little time, well..

SA all out for 329 in a Test where they were 158/0 at one stage on a good surface right after a Test where they scored 425/9 despite being 110/6 on a tough pitch. Got to love this game. Wonder if so many batters would have gotten out playing attacking shots if the start wasn't

My classmate from college plays the young Tenzing in this film. Great guy. Very proud.

If you want to know what the chance to play CWC Super League meant for Associates consider this. Here is how the Netherlands reacted to winning the 2017 WCL Championship and thus earning a Super League spot.
This feels a bit like the LSG vs SRH match. Thankfully (and hopefully) nobody there to give an earful to Santner.
This has got to be one of the best covers I have seen of a cricket book. Have been a huge fan of this 1977 Patrick Eagar photo. There are very few such action photos where the rain is so heavy in cricket. Here is the story of the game - facebook.com/share/v/19yRSgR…
Karunesh and Neville episodes were soooooo nice to record. Karunesh, by the way, had a power cut at his place. He said wait, give me 20 minutes. I'll drive to another place and we will continue recording. And this was the first time I was talking to him.
Every new Karunesh video reminds me of the magical podcast of @RandomCricketP1 . It felt like conversations with the best friend you make in school, who happens to love cricket as much as you do. A rare gem that takes you back to the almost surreal era of Indian Test cricket.
Every time I pass by this, I really wonder what exactly is there for this number to be on such a big display in the heart of the capital? How is this no. an achievement in 2026, especially for a country already bursting at the seams and facing water and energy resource crunch?

At the Lil Flea, a man came up to an artist's stall and asked for the price of a notepad whose cover was beautifully illustrated. She told him the cost to which he said, "I'll find much something better and cheaper at a stationary and left. He might not have been wrong but why
anyway so tricky. And I found the work of the artist extremely beautiful. Having said that, that's not what colored my judgement. Don't know how others feel about it. Let me know your thoughts.

It's generally used with/for images. Just an attempt to leverage the human mind's tendency to expect something to pop up when a double click is done. And for that reason, it's mostly inserted a few milliseconds before the picture appears. I don't know what's the issue though.
