With Greg Eldridge directing the show, and Caroline Jaya-Ratnam at the piano, this was not only our first opera, but the first full opera ever performed in Rugby.

Emily recently performed the roles of Pamina in The Magic Flute (@Opera_North, WSO) and will be performing Lisa in La Sonnambula (@Random_Opera Company).
It's just two weeks until our production of Der Freischütz, and time to introduce our first cast member!
Tenor PHILIP CLIEVE is performing the role of MAX, the young huntsman whose desperation to win the shooting contest gets him tangled up with Samiel, the wild huntsman.
Philip is currently an Associate Artist at the National Opera Studio, and has just completed a series of NOS residencies with English National Opera, Welsh National Opera and Scottish Opera.
Fun Fact: Philip's parents live in Rugby, so we'll be expecting some big cheers from the home crowd!
Sat 09 April, 7pm; Temple Speech Room, Rugby
