I hope people understand that even if we have a Blue Wave Extinction Level Event on Tuesday your life is not going to feel different on Wednesday, or even in January when the new camp gets seated. It’s almost certain that prices and corruption are only going to get worse for quite a while, and that DOES NOT MEAN that we failed or were tricked or that nothing will ever change. Just remember that this is the first and most necessary step in a long battle and we’re going to have to keep showing up.
Am I watching scary movies this Halloween night? Nope. I've started a Star Trek: The Next Generation rewatch. Make it so. #PatrickStewart #JeanLucPicard
Watched the first two X-Men movies again tonight. Patrick Stewart was pitch perfect as Professor X. The next actor cast as the character has some impossible shoes to fill.
I wasn't really feeling very Halloween-y any way this year, losing Patrick Stewart has just made me sad. I don't want to watch horror movies, I want to watch ST: TNG instead.

Dafne Keen remembers Patrick Stewart in a statement:
"I heard of Patrick's passing earlier today, which is funny in a kismet kind of way, considering I was drafting an email to send him late last night, something I hadn't done in quite some time.
"He was such a kind, genuine, funny, unique, caring and charming man. I remember his endless jokes, nurturing nature and colourful reading glasses. Every single day spent working by his side was an honour and a privilege I can't quite believe I had. He was a walking master of his craft, and of life. One of the greatest of our time, on stage and on screen.
"I have always looked up to him, and always will. As an actor and as a man. He had a wonderful way of wrapping every ancient lesson he imparted in wonder, fun and excitement. I will always remember his warmth and the respect he showed to everyone around him.
"I will forever hold those months we spent together close to my heart, and will always think of him as a pivotal part of how I view the world around me.
"So rest in peace, you giant, you legend amongst men. The beautiful work, humanity and kindness you leave behind will live on forever."

Hey God, if you’re going to take wonderful actors and voice-over artists from us, would you mind throwing a bigoted totalitarian rapist into the mix every once in a while? What is your fucking problem?
Star Trek: The Next Generation was important to me growing up because it was my Star Trek. I loved the original series, but it was my parents show. Suddenly I had my own Trek, with it's own characters, and stories. And Patrick Stewart's Jean-Luc Picard was a huge part of that.
Patrick Stewart's final movie role will be in "Avengers: Doomsday," in which he reprises the iconic "X-Men" character Charles Xavier.
In one of Stewart’s now-final interviews published by TV Insider in July, the actor spoke about his decision to star in “Avengers: Doomsday” and told fans that he would never “retire” from acting.
“As any actor my age will tell you, there are fewer and fewer available roles as we get older. That being said, I still continue to receive interesting offers and I love being challenged by new work,” Stewart said at the time. “I can’t imagine ever officially retiring. I’ll always and forever be an actor.”

I remember how to excited I was when Patrick Stewart was cast as Professor X. I had always been a huge X-Men comics fan, and that was the very definition of perfect casting. #PatrickStewart
