Disclaimer: built for practical/testing purposes, not to cheat interviews. I built Whisper without AI coding assistance It listens to interview questions and answers in real time, usually in under a second. It can handle coding questions too, and in my current tests itโ€™s around 98% accurate. The desktop overlay also stays out of screen capture, so screen sharing only shows whatโ€™s behind it. Built with: Tauri + Rust React + TypeScript + Vite Local Whisper + Deepgram Gemini + Groq This thing is lowkey scary fast.
Been quietly building *Whisper*๐Ÿ‘€ A Windows desktop app built with Tauri, Rust, React, TypeScript & Vite. Local Whisper + Deepgram for speech. Gemini + Groq for AI. Real-time, privacy-conscious and low-latency. What do you think it does?

Damn, this hits home. Iโ€™ve been a boss for a min, but Iโ€™ve also had terrible bosses. In fact, verbal abuse from my boss was one of the reasons I left IHS end of 2016 and eventually started DRAG full-time. I promised myself Iโ€™d never lead people that way, but in 2023, I failed at that. A client was angry over a delayed project, and instead of managing the pressure, I took it out on my assistant. I felt terrible afterwards, but I never apologised. Thatโ€™s something I still own. Today, that same assistant has a much better-paying job that takes him around the world. Iโ€™m proud to have played a part in his growth, and weโ€™re still very close friends. That experience taught me something: Being under pressure doesnโ€™t give you the right to become someone elseโ€™s problem. Leadership isnโ€™t about how much authority you can exercise. Itโ€™s about how much growth you can inspire without stripping people of their dignity. You can correct people without humiliating them. You can demand excellence without being cruel. Humility is an underrated leadership skill.

That need to understand what's going on in my life drove me to message Bob Proctor's platform via email, i can't remember what i said, but dem recommend one of their programs gimme, tear me $200 billing, my eyes clear one time, i sent another email explaining my finances ๐Ÿคฃ
In 2018, I was learning shoemaking, and one day I got to the shop late. My boss told me to kneel outside, then handed one of my seniors a belt and told him to flog me if I moved. Lmfao ๐Ÿ˜ญ I looked at my senior, stood up without saying a word, went inside, packed my things and left. My boss was shouting, โ€œDid I tell you to stand up?โ€ but I didnโ€™t even look back. That was my last day there. When I got home and told my mum, she said they were lucky I left because if anyone had flogged me, they wouldโ€™ve regretted it. And trust me, I know my mum ๐Ÿ˜ญ A few months later, I started learning printing on mugs, clothes and picture frames. During a fuel scarcity, my new boss sent me and a senior apprentice to buy fuel. He specifically told us not to buy if it cost more than โ‚ฆ700 per litre. We searched everywhere until we finally found somewhere selling at โ‚ฆ700.65. Just 65 kobo extra. We bought 20 litres and returned to the shop. This man asked why we bought it despite the extra 65 kobo. We tried explaining, but he dragged my senior inside and beat the hell out of him. And while beating him, he kept saying I was next. Omo, I ran home out of fear ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ After a few more years of trying different things, I eventually found my way into tech, and thankfully, Iโ€™m doing well for myself today. Looking back, some of the things apprentices went through in the name of learning a skill were actually insane.

Exactly. Making money is a skill, keeping it is discipline, and multiplying it is wisdom. Saving alone won't make you rich, investing will.

Something they said at a seminar in my school today: Knowing how to make money alone wonโ€™t get you out of poverty. You also need to know: โ€ข How to manage money โ€ข How to multiply money โ€ข How to maintain money Cos whatโ€™s the point of making money if you canโ€™t keep it?

Thereโ€™s a thin line between disciplining a student and embarrassing them. And I think ordering someone who came to learn a skill at your place to knell down in front of your shop, in full view of onlookers, under the rain, just because she came late Shouldnโ€™t be considered decipline but humiliation.

I used to treat LinkedIn like a job. Once I missed a day of posting, Iโ€™d feel like Iโ€™d lost consistency and just stop until I was ready to fully commit again Recently, I said fuck it. No content calendar, no pressure. I just started reposting whatever I share here on X. And guess what? I got my first serious lead from LinkedIn today, and weโ€™ve scheduled a call for Saturday. Really hoping it goes well.

Weโ€™ve reached a point where someone can write an extremely intelligent 10-paragraph post about something they know absolutely nothing about. Everything sounds convincing until you ask them one follow-up question.

The ratio of graduates to roles is very wide. That's why most of these top companies set hard assessments to weed off a lot of applicants. That's why; You're either freelancing - unstable/ You have a business - Capital + marketing/ A solution people would continually pay for.

Hereโ€™s a free accessibility test you can run on any website in 60 seconds. Put your mouse aside. Press Tab and try navigating the entire website using only your keyboard. Can you see which button is selected? Can you open the menu? Can you fill and submit a form? Can you close a popup without getting stuck? If not, some people may genuinely be unable to use that website. A beautiful interface isnโ€™t necessarily an accessible one.

Someone will tell you they need a simple website. Next thing, theyโ€™re describing user authentication, wallet funding, live chat, payment processing and an admin dashboard. Bro, youโ€™re not describing a website anymore. Youโ€™re describing an entire company
