HALLOWEEN II was released 45 years ago today.
John Carpenter originally intended the sequel to be the final chapter for Michael Myers and Dr. Loomis, which is why he had both characters seemingly die in the explosive finale. The franchise had other plans.

Dr. Loomis experiences only two moments of joy that I'm aware of.:
1. While scaring children
2. While getting hammered with an insane priest as he drunk drives a big truck

This scene is sad. Leon has done everything in his power to become a better man and leave his life as a gangster behind for good, yet Wanda seems incapable of grasping his personal journey. She focuses solely on her own interests, failing to comprehend everything Leon has endured.
It is worth remembering that Leon lost Kevin, one of his closest friends, who was accidentally killed by Franklin. Later, Leon himself accidentally killed Skully’s daughter, a tragedy that triggered dire consequences and extensive collateral damage, including the death of his friend Fatback. It was at this point, following the events of Snowfall season 4, that we began to see a shift in Leon.
Then there was Jerome, someone Leon regarded as family, who also lost his life.
And finally, there is Franklin, his best friend, whom he watched gradually succumb to greed, alcohol, and self-destruction. Leon was forced to stand by, helpless, as someone he considered a brother spiraled into ruin #TheDrop
