1995 Sensational Spider-Man Promo Fyler.
This was handed out at cons in mid-late 1995 in preparation for @thedanjurgens to take the Spider-World by storm.

Bob Costas was 18 when his father dropped dead at JFK airport. At the wake, a man handed him a thick envelope with $6,000 in $100 bills. It was everything his father left behind, and a bookie would never have paid it to a dead man.
In the video below, he tells the story himself.
His father, John, was a big-time gambler. Not casinos, not racetracks. Ball games. Bob says the mortgage was literally riding on his bets.
When the games went the wrong way, he threw things, cursed and yelled. Bob’s mom and sister would leave. Bob stayed, because watching the games with his dad was the only way to be close to him.
Friday, May 15, 1970. A cop knocks on the door. Before he says a word, Bob’s mother asks, “My husband’s dead, isn’t he?” John Costas had a heart attack walking through JFK. He was 42.
At the wake, one of his gambling buddies walked in with the envelope. “Your father was up when he died. Give this to your mother.” A bookie never pays a dead man, so the friend went to the bookie himself and said John sent him to collect.
Decades later, Bob Costas refused to read sports betting ads on air. Today the bookie lives in everyone’s phone. Is that progress?

The Brewers just apologized for their handling of the Timeless Ticket redemptions.
From President of Business Operations Rick Schlesinger:
"Several hundred fans indicated an intention to redeem their Timeless Ticket for a World Series game. We subsequently erred in our internal communications on the logistics of fulfilling the requests. While we were able to accommodate all with seats, we received feedback from some that they were unhappy with their seat locations.
Clearly, even with extraordinary limitations on available seats, we did not live up to the spirit of the program and we have been working through a resolution. We are happy to say that all of these fans who applied prior to the deadline will be contacted with a positive update: they can retain their World Series ticket for this year, plus retain their Timeless Ticket for redemption for another game in any future season. We regret our mistake and look forward to welcoming them to America Family Field for their World Series experience.”
The Brewers were in a 6-year playoff drought when they sold Timeless Tickets for $1K, promising a seat for any home game—even a World Series clash.
Fans held onto hope for over a decade. But now some feel the Brewers didn't fully live up to the deal...

In 2010, NBC agreed to pay Conan O'Brien roughly $33 million to leave The Tonight Show. He had waited five years for the job and held it for less than eight months.
In the video below, Conan discusses reports that ending Jay Leno's contract could have cost NBC up to $150 million. "If you're General Electric, the decision's probably pretty clear."
In 2004, the network announced that Conan would replace Jay Leno in 2009. But when the handover happened, NBC kept Leno and gave him a separate show at 10 p.m.
Ratings for Leno's new show disappointed local stations, while Conan trailed David Letterman. NBC decided to move Leno back to 11:35 p.m. and push The Tonight Show to 12:05 a.m.
Conan refused, arguing that moving past midnight would damage the show itself. After negotiations, NBC agreed to pay him roughly $33 million and his staff another $12 million.
Conan understood the financial logic but rejected NBC's account of his performance. Asked whether he had been given a fair chance, he answered: "Absolutely not." When NBC claimed his Tonight Show was on track to lose money, he said: "It's really not possible."
He also questioned Leno's return. "He went and took that show back," Conan said, explaining that he would not have done the same if their roles had been reversed.
Around 50 stagehands and other crew members received nothing from NBC under the settlement. Conan paid them at least six weeks of severance out of his own pocket.
Did NBC keep the better host, or the one it would cost more to let go?

#Patriots HC Mike Vrabel was uncertain about the availability of WR Romeo Doubs, LG Alijah Vera-Tucker, RG Ben Brown, and RT Morgan Moses for Thursday night’s matchup against the Bears:
“It’s a short week… Whether they can make it back or not, I don’t know. They didn’t finish the game… I don’t know any other thing other than that. We’ll just have to figure out who we have available. Find 48 to put out there. It’s just hard to say, but it’s a short week, and if you don’t finish the game, that’s a quick turnaround.”
