Not many people know that Oranmiyan, the Ife prince and later King, introduced horses to Bini Kingdom.
One of the best moment during the Durbar on Saturday was when Òbá Ewuare N’Ogidigan ll, reminded the public the importance of horses in the Benin army.
The Benin horsemen plaques and art were also used as reference point, the Benin Calvary during the Benin imperial era is rarely talked about, but their capability was immense and contributed greatly to expansion of Benin empire.
The Iboyanyan district in Benin were also incharge of horse taming and training in Benin, like their counterpart the Iviekpen and Iwekpen were incharge of leopard hunting and taming.

The Izala (JIBWIS) elders are trying to claim that the boy with the terrorist chant (Umar Ibrahim Gandi) isn't one of them. They're trying to insinuate that he was probably sent to "spy" on them. Here's a video from Esther Okelezo's page, Ibos don't actually know what they're in for. Majority of them don't even know the implications of the January, 1966 coup that wiped out most Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba leaders, while they spare their own leaders. A liberal Ibo will find it difficult to become the president of Nigeria, not to talk of a tribalist like Obi, someone that openly supported IPOB live on TV.
The North despise them more than anything, they don't even see Ibos as human. On the on the other hand, the Ibos feel the Yorubas are their enemy, and this is 'cause we accommodated their shenanigans in Yoruba land.
Anyways, it's good the Yorubas are waking up!

I did this video about the dangers of Izala sect to Nigeria and Nigerians yesterday and how this sect is the training ground for radical Islamists in the North.
Yesterday night, a preacher in the katsina that has called Izala sect and its violent preachings have been assassinated in his home yesterday. The preacher wrote to the state government and security officials that is life is in danger yet nothing was done.
Massasakura was preaching about peace and mutual respect in Nigeria yet they killed him.
I will be doing a video very soon to give a detailed explanation of what transpired very soon.
Izala sect is the root of modern political Islamism and radicalism in Nigeria.
