As the war consumes all sectors of the economy, Russia's banking sector faces further catastrophe, as 28% of borrowers have entered some form of default, increasing at a rate of +50% per year since 2024.

3 years ago, Russia 🇷🇺 launched the Avdiivka offensive that slowly turned into the 3rd Donbas 🇺🇦 battle of the full-scale war 3 years later, the Russian offensive is still ongoing, at a much slower pace than before. 2026 was a very difficult year, and Russia failed to keep up the advance pace it had in 2024 and 2025, even suffering from 2 counterattacks in Komar and Lyman. If the Russian offensive on the Donbas was initially centered on the southern and western direction, it moved north, with the main battle ongoing near Dobropilla. You can easily follow the chain of towns from Kurakhove, Pokrovsk and all the way to Barvinkove, behind the Donbas fortress that Russia is attacking. At the same time, Russian advance on the Donetsk-Zaporizhzhia highway was stopped, while the one further south was slowed down. 🟥Russian control before 2024 🔴Territory taken in 2024 🟠Territory taken in 2025 🟡Territory taken in 2026 Big ⬜️ line : Donbas administrative border Small ◽️line : main roads What the map tells us : -> Setbacks in 2024 and 2025 were due to multiple factors, including bad unit coordination, absence of fortifications, and a high number of Russian human resources. Since then, most of the issues have been resolved. -> The "attritional war" narrative that should witness a slow increase of Russian gains until Ukrainian collapse didn't happen. On the contrary, Russia is advancing slower and slower, and Russian losses are increasing. Every time someone is saying Russia is definitely winning the war, show them this map and ask why the "2nd most powerful army in the world" is struggling that much in Donbas while losing more and more men.

Israel is reportedly developing a multilayer protective screen designed to protect bridges, buildings and other critical infrastructure against missiles and munitions carrying warheads weighing between 300 kg (661 lb) and 1 metric ton (2,205 lb). According to reports, the proposed design consists of three layers positioned in front of the structure. The first features a spiked grid said to be intended to trigger or disrupt an incoming warhead. The second uses angled slats reportedly designed to redirect blast gases and fragments sideways, while the third consists of composite ceramic armor plates said to absorb the remaining impact. The system is described as requiring a gap of at least 1.5 m (4.9 ft) between the first and third layers. Its supporting frame is reportedly designed to stand independently, avoiding additional loads on the protected structure. The system’s development status and performance under real-world conditions have not been independently verified. Source: Scientica

Yksi kansalaisaloitteemme perusteluista. 1/5 Erinomainen raportti Huoltovarmuuskeskukselta. Ei tosiaan kannata tuudittautua selkääntaputtajelijoiden kehuihin. Eurooppalaisella tasolla Suomi on hyvin varautunut, mutta sekään ei riitä Ukrainan sodan kaltaisessa tilanteessa. huoltovarmuuskeskus.fi/a/ukr…

This chart is insane. This shows Russia's casualties over time compared to Russia's territorial gains in Ukraine over the last five years. No sane or rational person would say continuing the war to try and take more of Ukraine's territory is worth the casualties.

UPDATE: 🇷🇺 Together with @SONARROW_OSINT, we have identified a FOURTH Russian cargo vessel, LADY R (IMO 9161003), loading new military equipment at the naval base in Baltiysk, Kaliningrad. One of the largest Russian military convoys yet appears to be about to leave for an unknown destination.
EXCLUSIVE: In a joint investigation by @InsiderGeo × @SONARROW_OSINT , we identified a large-scale Russian military loading operation in Baltiysk. Between October 15 and 16, we observed the Russian cargo vessels ASCALON (IMO 9198226), LADY D (IMO 9349289) and ANASTASIIA (IMO 9349291) loading significant quantities of military equipment at the Kaliningrad naval base, including logistics vehicles, infantry vehicles, MRAPs and troop transports. A rotation of other cargo vessels also appears to have taken place in the days before and after, although heavy cloud cover over the period makes this difficult to confirm. One or more large convoys are likely already underway. Their destination(s) remain unknown at this time.

This is the way to affect to terroruzzian missile production which is likely way more cost effective than using PAC-3s to shoot down incoming IRBMs
Over the past few days, Ukraine has struck at least four plants producing components in the Russian missile (and broader) supply chain: October 23: The Proton plant in Oryol, hit by Storm Shadow/SCALP-EG cruise missiles. Proton produces optoelectronics and electronic components for Iskander-M, the S-71K Kover cruise missile, and Pantsir-S1. October 24: The Tolyattikauchuk plant in Tolyatti, hit by long-range drones. Tolyattikauchuk produces isobutylene, reportedly a feedstock for solid rocket propellant. Satellite imagery appears to show two damaged isobutylene process units. October 25: The AVISMA plant in Berezniki, hit by long-range drones. AVISMA produces about 96 percent of Russia’s titanium sponge, used in alloys for missiles and combat aircraft. October 25-26: The Energia plant in Yelets, hit by Storm Shadow/SCALP-EG cruise missiles. Energia makes batteries for Iskander-M and is reportedly Russia’s sole producer of batteries for glide-bomb guidance kits. We will have to see how much of a dent this makes in Russian missile output. Previous strikes on Russian component manufacturers appear to have had limited effects. However, Russia has not previously faced successive strikes on different parts of the supply chain within a short period of time, including attacks using heavy missile systems.

❗️A 🇷🇺Russian cruise missile (small jet-powered drone) “Geran-5 K5-K” fell in the 🇺🇦Odesa region due to technical malfunctions. This is a new modification of the Geran-5 series, distinguished by an autonomous optical navigation system (it orients itself using images of the terrain rather than relying solely on satellite signals), as well as increased range, speed, and flight altitude. The presented photos are the first close-up images of this munition.

NEW: 🇱🇻 According to a new investigation by Latvian broadcaster LTV, Belarusian border guards are forcing migrants to sabotage Latvia’s border infrastructure if they cannot pay smugglers for illegal passage into the European Union. Those who refuse face physical violence or torture. Migrants waiting in camps on the Belarusian side of the border are reportedly visited by uniformed personnel who check whether they have paid for their journey. Those who have not paid are sent into Latvia carrying metal saws and given precise instructions on what to damage, including surveillance cameras and electrical equipment. After carrying out the sabotage, they return to Belarus. Latvian prosecutors say there are reasonable grounds to suspect that Belarusian border guard officials are involved in organising illegal migration and damaging infrastructure to facilitate criminal activity. Investigators believe migrants seeking to reach the EU could not have organised this operation themselves. The scale of the problem is growing. Latvia has recorded more than 60 cases of border infrastructure damage this year, compared with 23 last year. More than 12,000 illegal border-crossing attempts have been prevented. Border guards have also faced stone-throwing incidents, threats and confrontations involving people helping migrants cross the border. The smuggling route reportedly costs around $5,000 per person, often paid in cryptocurrency. Migrants travel through Russia to camps near the Belarusian border, where some wait for days or even months for an opportunity to cross into the EU. Latvia has deployed between 100 and 200 soldiers daily to support border protection, while investigators are cooperating with Europol. Prosecutors have launched criminal proceedings over suspected plans to commit serious crimes against the Latvian state.
