Voting is still underway on election day (October 27, 2026). Polls close at 10:00 p.m. and exit polls are expected shortly afterwards. Full official counts (including special “double envelope” votes from soldiers, etc.) take longer, with official results due by around November 4.
Record turnout: About 66.7% of eligible voters (out of ~7.3 million) had voted by 6 p.m. local time—the highest figure at that hour since tracking began in 1973, and higher than in 2022. Turnout has been especially strong in Arab communities.
The Central Elections Committee rejected a request from Netanyahu’s Likud to extend voting hours nationally. Stations stay open past 10 p.m. only for people already in line.
Netanyahu has made repeated claims of potential fraud or “stealing” tied to high Arab turnout; election officials have rejected multiple foul-play claims.

Don’t be mislead by @jonfiner and @PhilGordonDC. They’re both seasoned sanctions practitioners. They know full well that the economic and financial warfare they’re advocating against Israel won’t stop at the Green Line. It will hit banks, businesses and all Israelis inside Israel itself.
Their mission is clear: coerce Israelis into accepting a Palestinian state—even if it is highly likely it will be controlled by Hamas, riddled with corruption, and posing a mortal threat to Israel’s security. NOW: Voter turnout in the Israeli elections today have FAR surpassed their highest effort rate by the 6:00PM mark, with almost a 67% turnout at this point.
Historically speaking, that runs roughly 10% beyond the common turnout at this point in time, and should be viewed as a very concerning sign for Netanyahu.

BREAKING: Netanyahu's Likud has just submitted a request to extend voting hours beyond 10pm in Israel's election, per Channel 12.
Turnout stood at 55.7% at 4pm, up 8 points on the same hour in 2022 and the highest ever recorded.
It comes as Trump allies are secretly cutting a deal to keep Netanyahu in power even if he loses the election, with Trump backing a unity government.
