Meaning:
Countless universes, each with its own Brahma, born from the pores of Maha-Vishnu. Each lives for just one breath of his.
We proved the multiverse long back.
Apparently, if a project takes 13 years, it's a PR stunt.
Let's look at some reality.
India took -
*43 years to complete the Saryu Nahar irrigation project
*44 years for Kollam Bypass.
*56 years from foundation stone to inauguration of Sardar Sarovar Dam.
*20 years for Atal Tunnel.
*21 years for Bogibeel Bridge.
*17 years for MP water tunnel
Now look at the world -
*NASA spent 32 years taking the James Webb Telescope from initial concept to launch.
*CERN spent nearly 25 years turning the Large Hadron Collider from an idea into reality.
*International Space Station took 16 years from approval to its first permanent crew.
*Boston spent 15 years building the Big Dig.
*Switzerland spent 17 years constructing the Gotthard Base Tunnel.
Do you know what connects all these projects?
They were firsts, engineering challenges, technological breakthroughs and ambitions that required years of work.
Judging a country's ambition by how quickly it can produce its first prototype or first project is ridiculous.
If every generation had abandoned ambitious projects because they took too long, humanity would have very little to show for itself.
People like this handle belong to the genes who have survived only because other people around them did all the hardwork. Hence such stupidities from them.

Sorry but this is a stupid question.
I don't think people realise how difficult it is to execute something for the very first time. And more importantly, how much faster things can move once you have done it once.
Take example of Delhi Metro. Announced in 1994, construction started in 1998, only 8 km line done by 2002.
Next 3 years, 57 km added.
Next 4 years, 125km added.
India added 248km operational metro in 16 yrs till 2014. But in next 11 yrs, we added 847km.
That's what experience, institutional capability and an established ecosystem can do. Now let's see Bullet train project.
India's first bullet train corridor is 508 km long(China first one was only 120km and that too on a flat terrain).
Yes, it is taking time. But the scale of the project is also vastly different. It involves India's FIRST UNDERSEA TUNNEL and engineering challenges we've never encountered before.
Plus we had following issues -
1. Congress in Maharashtra stopped all work of bullet train from 2019-2022. 3 yrs gone in that.
2. China stopped TBM(needed for undersea tunnel) export to us for 2 years. We have to then make our own from scratch.
Building the first corridor is the hardest part. You acquire the technology, develop the ecosystem, train the workforce and create domestic manufacturing capabilities. The next projects then benefit from all of that experience and goes super fast(like our metro).
Hence, before judging India's first bullet train project, people should actually study a bit on what we are trying to achieve.

The MumbaiโAhmedabad Bullet Train was announced in 2017. Nearly a decade later, it is still under construction.
At this rate, BengaluruโChennai and BengaluruโHyderabad might become reality sometime in 2040.
Big infrastructure announcements make great headlines. But what we really need are clear, realistic deadlines, accountability and execution.
Announce the vision, but also commit to a timeline.

- Apple stores opening across Indian cities.
- Indians travelling abroad in record numbers.
- Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities getting malls, multiplexes and premium restaurants.
- Starbucks, H&M, Zara, Sephora and premium Indian brands expanding beyond metros.
- SUVs replacing entry-level hatchbacks in many households.
- Two-wheelers being replaced by cars and electric scooters.
- Air conditioners, dishwashers, dryers and large-screen TVs becoming aspirational household purchases.
- Small-town India ordering everything from smartphones to branded fashion online.
- Indian families taking domestic holidays, flying instead of taking trains.
- Swiggy, Zomato and quick-commerce deliveries reaching smaller cities.
- Thousands of small businesses accepting UPI instead of operating entirely in cash.
And perhaps the biggest change:
A generation that once aspired to own a colour television now aspires to own an iPhone, drive an SUV, travel internationally and live in a better home.
Indian Economy is doing great.
Ofcourse, there are many areas where we need to do better but that doesn't mean something is extremely wrong with us.
You know why some Congress supporters are nostalgic about that India?
Because it was an India where a handful could enjoy everything while millions struggled for basic survival.
AC trains had fewer waitlists because hardly anyone could afford them. Roads had less traffic because owning a car was a luxury. Tourist places were peaceful because most families couldn't afford holidays. Even basic facilities felt premium because most people were too busy fighting hunger.
(I say this from personal experience. I am the first person in my entire family to travel to another city just for a holiday)
Millions lived without proper houses, toilets, electricity or drinking water. Some barely had enough to eat. Many never even got to see a world beyond their villages.
Today, trains are crowded, roads are congested and tourist places are packed. Why? Because millions who were once excluded can now afford to participate.
Some people mistake the exclusivity of poverty for the elegance of a better India. They miss the India where the poor couldn't afford to enjoy life. We want an India where they finally can.

'If Poverty has declined so much, then why are 80 crore people still dependent on free rations? '
I am going to assume that this is a sincere question and not a troll one. So, the answer will be respectful.
Let's dig deep. This is a long writeup.
There are two primary reasons why we provide rations for free to people.
In the year 1965-67, we faced back-to-back droughts. This created a severe shortage of food. So in 1969, govt decided to have 50 lakh tons of rice/wheat always as a strategic buffer.
Now this is a good Policy. But issue is that India has not experienced a nationwide famine in last 2-3 decades where this buffer can be used.
But we continue to maintain these buffers.
Now this creates a problem. Since Rice/Wheat have a short shelf life, you have to use them before they are spoilt. Better to have it with poor rather than rotting(this involves corruption, as rotten grain is given at near-zero cost to alcohol making firms).
Modi govt, since Covid, is making sure that rice/wheat, rather than rotting in warehouses, goes to the poor.
Just think for a minute. What is the biggest expense for the people? It is food and healthcare.
When you give free food to them, you free up their income to invest in areas of education or getting something - A cycle, a sewing machine, a pushcart, tools or a two-wheeler can help someone improve their livelihood. Healthcare is being addressed through Ayushman Bharat.
When you take care of the food and medicine of poor people, you will find that they will quickly come out of poverty and increase their income. Too many data points to prove this.
Hence, free rations for 80 Cr people help to prevent food wastage and move the poor up the income ladder.
So, there is nothing wrong with poverty elimination and giving free food to people. Both are happening in parallel.
