Thank you to all of my colleagues who voted in favor of consumer choice, expanded markets, and energy independence. While the fight for nationwide, year-round E15 is not yet finished, yesterday's bipartisan passage of my bill marked a historic win!
House Republicans just passed H.R. 1346 the Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act. This bill allows the year-round sale of E15 gasoline nationwide, expanding fuel choice, supporting American farmers, and helping lower costs at the pump. Congrats @RepAdrianSmith!

Great discussion with @SecretaryWright, @NEFarmBureau, and Nebraska agriculture leaders on strengthening America’s energy independence. From 45Z to nationwide, year-round E15, I’ll keep fighting for policies that expand markets for Nebraska biofuels, support our farmers, and deliver affordable, homegrown energy.

In Nebraska, we’re used to putting miles on the car. But when those miles mean traveling for a doctor’s appointment or medical treatment, distance can be a real challenge for rural families In my latest column, I share highlights from @DrOzCMS’s visit to the Third District and my work to bring care closer to home. adriansmith.house.gov/media/…

Nebraskans work hard for every dollar. Fraudsters shouldn’t get to steal a dime. Today, I signed @VP Vance’s Pledge to Protect Americans from Fraud because protecting hardworking Americans should be common sense, not controversial.

I appreciate @POTUS and @epaleezeldin for their continued support of American biofuels and for taking action to strengthen our nation’s energy independence. Today’s announcement is welcome news for America's biofuel producers, providing the certainty they need to grow our homegrown energy industry. This also marks an important victory for our farmers, rural communities, and American consumers looking for lower prices at the pump.
In a move that will provide predictable and stable markets for farmers, we are proposing 100% REALLOCATION for the additional 2025 Small Refinery Exemption volumes for the amount that exceeded estimates in the “Set 2” Rule. This proposal will strengthen the Renewable Fuel Standard program, open markets for farmers, and grow economic potential for rural communities. Administrator Zeldin just announced this breaking news in Iowa. epa.gov/newsreleases/while-i…

Pleased to see Governor Hochul opt into my Federal Scholarship Tax Credit which I fought to secure in the @TaxCuts to expand educational opportunities for ALL families. Let me be clear—taking advantage of my tax credit is common sense, not a political debate.
New York just became the 31st state to opt into the Education Freedom Tax Credit! Governor Hochul nailed the exact reason why: "I'm not going to leave money on the table when it could help our kids." Empowering families knows no political boundary.

Today, I led a letter with @RepNikkiB and 37 colleagues urging @EPALeeZeldin and @SecretaryWright to build on the admin’s historic support for American biofuels by issuing a supplemental rule that provides much-needed certainty for biofuel producers and consumers. Fans expect college athletics to be played the right way. Unfortunately, as they have evolved over the last few years, there have been well-documented cases nationwide of players and coaches trying to go beyond the spirit of the sport. That's why I introduced my Fair Play Enforcement Act to address these concerns and keep college athletics on a level playing field. Read more in my column this week: adriansmith.house.gov/media/…

On October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorists carried out a barbaric attack against Israel and its people. Today, we mourn the innocent lives that were lost and reaffirm our commitment to fighting antisemitism wherever it exists.
Three years ago today, Hamas terrorists murdered approximately 1,200 innocent people on one of the deadliest days for the Jewish people in history. We will NEVER forget. America must always stand with Israel and against radical Islamist terror. 🇺🇸🇮🇱

I am eager to see this project advance through the permitting process and look forward to working with the administration to expand the production of American-made fertilizer while creating new jobs and opportunities for Nebraska's Third District!
🚨 ANOTHER WIN FOR AMERICAN FERTILIZER 🇺🇸 Project Meadowlark in Gothenburg, Nebraska — a $1+ BILLION domestic fertilizer manufacturing project — has been added to the FAST-41 Transparency Dashboard, helping provide greater certainty and accountability as it moves through federal permitting. It is the first manufacturing project ever added under this FAST-41 transparency authority. This project will help put American-made fertilizer in the hands of farmers across the Corn Belt, strengthen our domestic fertilizer supply chain, and reduce reliance on foreign sources. Under @POTUS, we are cutting through permitting barriers and bringing critical agricultural manufacturing back to American soil. More American fertilizer. More reliable supply. More security for American farmers. permitting.gov/newsroom/pres…

Today I sat down with members of the Alzheimer’s Association in Scottsbluff to hear firsthand about the devastating impact of this disease on individuals, families and the community.
We discussed the importance of early detection, expanding access to resources, and finding ways to better support patients and caregivers.

I passed my Federal Scholarship Tax Credit to expand educational opportunities for ALL students. Now, with @USTreasury’s guidance, married couples filing jointly can claim up to $3,400—not just $1,700. Opening the door to more than $75 billion in potential scholarship donations!
The U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service issued proposed regulations to implement the new Federal Scholarship Tax Credit under section 25F, commonly known as the Education Freedom Tax Credit, the first federal tax credit supporting private contributions for K-12 scholarships. Under the proposed regulations, eligible taxpayers may claim an annual credit of up to $1,700 for qualifying contributions, or up to $3,400 for married couples filing jointly. Treasury and the IRS also issued companion temporary regulations to establish key procedures for states and Scholarship Granting Organizations to prepare for the launch of the tax credit on January 1, 2027. The proposed regulations advance the Administration’s priorities of expanding educational freedom, restoring parental rights, returning power to the states, and putting American students first. home.treasury.gov/news/press…

Congratulations to my fellow Nebraskan, Greg Ibach, on his nomination to serve as Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs at @USDA. Greg has always fought for Nebraska’s agriculture producers, and I know he’ll bring that same dedication to this important role.
