Call me whatever you want, but I believe a society's goal should be to secure the highest quality of life and happiness for its citizens, not to endlessly generate capital for the ownership class at everyone else's expense.

Do African politicians genuinely believe they can deliver on the promises they make while in opposition, or do they knowingly make unrealistic promises simply to win power?
Think of Ghana: One Village, One Dam; One District, One Factory; ending galamsey within three months; and the 24-hour economy promise of โone job, three shifts, three peopleโ. Are these genuine policy commitments, overly optimistic projections, or simply electoral strategies?
Aside election cycles, at what point should we (and can we) begin holding politicians accountable not only for failing to deliver on their promises, but also for making promises they should have known were unrealistic?

This is why I get livid when people are defending them.
Imagine paying someone 40k per month, which comes on time, with many other ridiculous benefits and yet they fail to do the bare minimum and you want me to smile, fry chips for them and call them honorable.
Honorable my cute butt.

Does the labor commission know the harsh working conditions these Chinese, Lebanese and Indians are subjecting people too? We donโt have leaders in this country

There is something going on MTN MoMo that really needs attention. Someone 39,782ghc was withheld after getting paid for something they sold. MTN later refunded the money back to the person who bought it, and the seller didnโt receive what they sold back. I donโt know if this might be an inside job from MTN or an error. What makes it more suspicious is that MTN didnโt send an email as a paper trail, only the reversal message. I will reach out to one of the rep to follow this issue and update you on it.

Water is a right, not a privilege.
Yet across Ghana, galamsey is turning rivers like the Pra, Birim, Ankobra, and Offin into polluted, muddy waterways.
Treatment plants are being forced to shut down, while communities are left searching for safe water.
We cannot keep calling water a right while allowing the very sources of that water to be destroyed.
Galamsey is stealing our water, livelihoods, the future, just as it is stealing our gold.

What about the galamseyers who post videos of themselves destroying our water resources and forest reserves, Mr. President @JDMahama?
Sir, do you see such videos too? If so, what have you done about them? Why is there no progress against the country's single biggest existential threat?

There were signs but we chose to ignore. Why are we complaining now?

The government has chosen gold revenues over protecting our environment. They are prioritising an economy driven by gold proceeds at the expense of the fight against galamsey. So please, lower your expectations, lol

I went into the El Niรฑo heat tracker. Ghana is projected at about 7,000 extra heat deaths from October to March, 12th in the world. The Met Agency put a warning in a PDF. Nobody else has said a word.

Knowledge gives potential power......this should have been the statement. Until potential is turned into action the knowledge will remain dormant and it might even begin to stink. A lot of things goes into gaining knowledge and applying it and seeing the intended result.
