Some governments have been restricting travel to affected countries.. On Friday, Saudi Arabia suspended travel to and entry from Kenya [in addtion to the DRC, Uganda, and South Sudan].. The measures include suspending travel by Saudi citizens to Kenya and a pause on issuing all types of visas to travellers from the country." How is your government responding to this issue? Sir Patrick Stewart was best known for playing heroes on screen, but one of his bravest acts was telling the truth about his own childhood and speaking up for human rights. For many years, he stood with Amnesty and spoke openly about the violence his mother suffered at home to support our campaign to stop violence against women. His honesty gave courage to survivors around the world. Our thoughts are with his wife, family and friends. The best way to honour him is to carry on the fight he believed in. It should appal us all that the scourge of violence against women and girls continues, and Governments must do far more to end it.

Rest easy, Captain. We have the helm. ✨ This is Webb’s look at Westerlund 1, a super star cluster. Because our galaxy is past its peak of star formation, and because stars live relatively short lives, only a few of these clusters exist to give us clues to that past era.

Patrick Stewart on Trump (2017): “You might say to me, well, you’re not an American, what has it got to do with you? The fact is when America sneezes, the world catches a cold. America I think is on the edge of a very bad flu infection and it’s because of the man who’s in the White House”

A horrific Russian strike on the railway station in Dnipro. The Russians launched a drone attack on a platform where an ordinary commuter train and a scheduled passenger train were standing. Unfortunately, 13 people have been confirmed killed as of now. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Ten more people were injured. All necessary emergency services are working at the scene. Just how many terrorist strikes has Russia carried out against our people since sanctions were lifted on certain Russian oligarchs and the Russian energy sector, rather than de-escalating? This is precisely why Ukraine has always said that just and decisive action by America and Europe is needed in response to Russian escalation – sanctions against Moscow and its war machine must not be eased for as long as this Russian war continues. It is time for new, stronger sanctions steps by the EU, the United States, and the G7. I thank everyone who is ready to help in this way.
