There is hilarity in this, knowing how Japanese copyright does not involve a lawsuit, it involves an actual trial, where there is a very real possibility you could go to prison.
It will be interesting to see if this results in changes to Japanese copyright law.
How is an AI character copyrighted? I thought AI does not have copyright.
🚨 LEVEL5 a déposé une demande de DMCA auprès de X contre un utilisateur (@/Redrey64). La raison ? Il avait posté un montage vidéo sarcastique montrant le chibi IA de Akihiro Hino en train de cuire dans une poêle d'huile d'olive.
De 1 : Le DMCA sert uniquement à protéger les droits d'auteur. Or, cette vidéo parodique ne les violait pas.
De 2 : C'est extrêmement grave de s'en prendre à quelqu'un pour une simple vidéo humoristique. Si c'est véritablement l'objectif de LEVEL5, des milliers de comptes vont sauter, dont le nôtre.
LEVEL5, il est temps de revoir vos priorités, et vite. Vous arrivez au point de non-retour.

Forgot to mention, but I was at #Anthrocon on Friday. Despite the exhausting heat, I had a lot of fun, and got to meet @RuiOnRollers as well as many other friends! and I got a new plush: Sam Fish, as well as having bright Kunio (cuga plush) along.

Pro Tip and this doesn't necessarily work each time: turn on the pc, idle it for ten minutes to loosen the paste, then try.
I've done this, and also ripped out the CPU despite thinking it would warm up. Both times the CPU and Motherboard were thankfully fine.
