Independent Diplomat is proud to partner with @AR_Renaissance in advancing a shared vision: diplomacy rooted in justice, dignity, and the leadership of affected communities. Together, we’re building more inclusive, rights-based responses to displacement across the region.
Strategic Partnership between ARDD and Independent Diplomat
The Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD) is proud to announce the signing of a Code of Cooperation with Independent Diplomat (ID), marking a key milestone in advancing refugee rights and promoting inclusive, rights-based diplomacy across the region.
Under this agreement, ID will offer technical assistance, capacity building, and diplomatic guidance, while ARDD will continue to lead impactful legal aid, protection, and policy advocacy programs throughout Jordan and the wider region through its Renaissance Strategic Centre (RSC) for research.
ARDD is proud of this partnership, which marks a new chapter in its joint mission to shape a diplomatic system that responds to the needs and aspirations of affected communities, placing justice, dignity, and empowerment at the heart of its work.

Timely and important meeting at #WEF2025 with #Ukraine Foreign Minister following on our last meeting at #UNGA79. I thanked @andrii_sybiha for the #Ukraine-led grain assistance programme for my people. This generosity from an ally will not be forgotten, and a bilateral relationship we mutually agreed to advance further.

As a leading country in the fight against sexual violence,🇬🇧can’t remain silent in the face of the allegations of the diabolical treatment of Palestinian prisoners. It’s time for @DavidLammy to speak up! reliefweb.int/organization/b… reliefweb.int/attachments/97… @btselem

They don’t. Believe me. Why do you talk such utter shite? And why are you morphing into a sovereign individual
anarcho-capitalist narcissist with fascist leanings? Some journey you’ve been on.

'Where were the riots' after the Hainault stabbing, asks @mrjamesob.

If you tell people migration is why they lack opportunity, this is the result.
Bad governance, inequality & unregulated social media have a lot to answer for.
Silence from Farage & the Tory hard right who blew the dogwhistle for years.

True Tom. But it’s key that sane people like you acknowledge that your party created the conditions for this. If you want to lead the Tories, you need to call out this shit and chart a way forward that ditches the dog whistles and racism forever. The last decade has been awful.

There is no excuse @JamesCleverly, but there is cause and effect. And your government’s actions and words are a big part of the cause. At least acknowledge that. You destroyed our country with shit decision after shit decision coupled with lack of fortitude. Disgrace. Never again

Maybe try not being part of a government that created the context for this. The Tory government was completely irresponsible with its language and actions - and it has direct and real impact. Hold yourselves accountable ale and make yourselves better. You’re to blame.

The next post on your feed is about small boats - that they’re still coming. You know very well that eg action taken yesterday won’t have immediate impact today. Posting that kind of stuff fuels exactly the kind of violence we see now. Grow up. Take responsibility.

The problem @JamesCleverly is that your lot created the context for this. The way your colleagues have talked about migrants for years. Your pandering to the right. All the Brexit crap. You’ve created a tinder box and now the fire has started. Learn some lessons.

Putin bombs children’s hospital in Kyiv the day before NATO summit (probably as a test of western will). Participants at the summit MUST scale up whatever announcements they had originally planned. To do otherwise only encourages Putin and costs lives.

A UN Security Council statement (meaning joined by the United States) pressing Israel to stop the cover-up regarding the mass graves found at Gaza hospitals after Israeli troops withdrew. There needs to be a real and independent investigation. nitter.gq/UKUN_NewYork/status/17…

Perhaps the most appalling accusation is that some Palestinian detainees had to have limbs amputated after being handcuffed or ziptied for long periods. Really disturbing reporting by @cnn based in large part on Israeli whistleblowers.
Horrifying, persuasive, deeply reported CNN piece on IDF torture and abuse of Palestinian detainees. Strong echoes of Gitmo and Abu Ghraib. Israel must allow immediate and ongoing @ICRC monitoring of these facilities. cnn.com/2024/05/10/middleeas…

The Parliament of Estonia passed a resolution declaring The Moscow Patriarchy of the Russian Orthodox Church an institution supporting Russian agression against Ukraine and inciting violence.
Russia has been attacking US CIA, FBI & State Dept officials for years causing physical harm (so-called Havana Syndrome). They’ve done it abroad and on US soil. Absurd for US agencies to claim otherwise. There must be heavy consequences imposed on Russia. youtube.com/live/LCYH_K850Lw…
Excellent messaging by Cameron. Ukraine must be able - and supported - to strike inside Russia using west’s weapons. Fighting with one hand tied behind your back => loss. Allies urging Ukraine to limit strikes in Russia jeopardise Ukraine & Europe security bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c163…
A humbling privilege to continue our work at @IDiplomat in support of the Rohingya cause. Important not to forget their crisis and struggle when we’re inundated with so many others currently.
Grateful to @nurulislamARNO for the insightful conversation and a copy of his book.
For those of us who have had first-hand experience of Iran’s disgusting “moral militia” - the basij - or the IRGC, this is no shock. They abuse Iranians systematically. Only one solution for Iran - and for betterment of global security: end the regime. bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-…
