The Chargers are now 0–7, and at what point does something have to change?
According to CBS, the Chargers have gone 27 consecutive offensive drives without a touchdown.
Justin Herbert now has 10 interceptions in 7 games, compared with just 5 passing touchdowns. For the first time in his NFL career, he’s on pace to finish a season with more INTs than TDs.
We are watching an offense that cannot consistently sustain drives, protect its quarterback or find the end zone.
This isn’t just a quarterback problem. It’s an offensive operation problem.
And I’ll say it again.
If Mike McDaniel isn’t fired tonight, I genuinely believe this organization risks breaking Justin Herbert before it ever figures out how to properly build around him.
You cannot keep expecting your quarterback to overcome the very system that’s supposed to help him succeed.
