How stupid is this stuff (and similar Drav gimmicks)? Sanskrit never called it pallu - therefore people north of gummidipoondi live without teeth. Idhai thān indhiyila chootiyaa nnu solluvanga. (Kaenakkoo - tamizhla)
In Pathitruppattu, the word used is Velvi, not yajna. Palaikautmar did a Velvi and on 10th day, he and his wife disappeared. Thats all said in that work. The explaination to this came in Silaprathikkaram, mostly after 2nd Century AD. By that time, Vedic praticses started

So, I didn’t want to do this, but am left with little choice. In mid-August, friends and I enquired with @captureatrip about a trip to Seoul. They asked us to deposit a sum and close the booking and threw in visas for free to get us to rush. Two of us three did; the third had her visa already in progress and chose to continue with Atlys. Beyond basic enquiries over the next two days, there was ZERO movement on our visas. We were okay because it wasn’t our headache any way. Now, @captureatrip and their visa partner awoke two weeks later, then gave VERY conflicting information on document requirements, made us send all of those documents printed, even those that could be done digitally, and every time I followed up, they had a new requirement, to the point that they then asked for MORE MONEY to process the visas as express. Then, the visas arrived after our onward flights were due, can you imagine?! The two of us lost two days of Seoul despite tickets being booked and when I finally received the visa, I had to book last minute flights to Delhi on the same day, costing me additionally. After being in contact with their leadership throughout the process, sharing all the miscommunication, building an entire digital dossier, not only were they inconsiderate, they have refused to even refund the amount paid to them despite us eventually being forced to plan and go on our own. We had used them a few years ago, and thus a friend suddenly thought to trust them again. But it has been a terrible experience. Highly recommend never using them. Want to go legal, so all help appreciated.

Samayun Sheikh, the main guy who killed and cut up BJP worker Sujit Mondal, has been killed in an encounter. If 1,500-2,000 criminals are dealt without mercy in the next 12 months, lawless West Bengal will become like Yogi’s UP in law and order.
#BigBreaking: Second encounter in #WestBengal. On August 28, BJP worker from Murshidabad’s Samserganj, Sujit Mondal went missing & after two days, few of his body parts were recovered. CID took over the case & made three arrests including main accused Samayun Sheikh. Today when CID was conducting crime-scene reconstruction with the accused persons when the main accused Samayun Sheikh snatched the police firearm & tried to flee. He was shot at in police’s retaliatory fire. He was rushed to hospital where he was declared dead.

On occasion of INFANTRY DAY let's remember all those Infantry Men of #IndianArmy who couldn't manage to come back & let we show our solidarity with their families who are still preserving their uniform & other belongings. This uniform belongs to #KargilHero CAPT AMIT BHARDWAJ. #FreedomisnotFree

This is why you don't throw your wickets away on Day 1 of Test matches, particularly series deciders. Get as many runs as you can and don't throw your wickets away when set. Can play daft shots when you're 500/4 and have earned the right.

Ever noticed who keeps India running at 11pm. The nurse finishing a double shift. The delivery rider on his last drop. The mother who cooked dinner after a full day at the office and is now checking homework. Nobody asks them to stay. They just do. That's not something a government scheme built or a corporate policy taught. It comes from families where your effort was never just for yourself. You worked so a sibling could study, so parents could rest, so the next generation would start a step ahead. Other countries have better infrastructure. Some have better systems. Very few have a billion people who see hard work as a duty to someone they love. That's the real engine. Everything else is just fuel.
🚨 Piyush Goyal just gave the world a reality check on Indian work culture Speaking to Dutch business leaders, the Commerce Minister said it straight: “Indians always work hard. Nobody in India will tell you it’s 5 o’clock. No Indian will ever remind you that it’s the weekend.” This is not just a statement — it’s the reason India continues to grow while many others slow down. Our workforce doesn’t watch the clock; it focuses on getting the job done. That mindset is what makes Indian talent stand out globally. When the world looks for reliability and commitment, this is exactly what they get from India.

At SR of 258 Vaibhav is slow 😀😉 Bowlers can be replaced with bowling machines! It might sound like a joke but at this rate, nobody would like to become a bowler.

Boland should have played solely for that innings of 40. Solely for lasting till tea.. a lot of pluck than the entire Aussie batting line up. Such a travesty in selection would never happen under AB. Sometimes balls gotta be rewarded, over pure merit.

Australia picked Lyon expecting the pitch to assist spin on Days 4 and 5, yet somehow decided to bowl first. To make matters worse, they dropped Boland, their best bowler from the previous match. The Australian management deserves an Oscar for such brilliant decision-making.

Ackshuvalee this is the 43rd edition. Pretty sure many years it would not have been held defo during krona. So quite possible it was started in the 70s. We didn't win Asia Cup till 03 21 yrs after the 1st edition. Even Jr Asia Cup we didn't win till 04 16 yrs after 1st edition.
Lol Nehru sub junior started 43 years back which means it would have been in 83 And we dint win or medal in a single major tournament for 40 years and won just 1 Asian games until 2014

My two cents on Baseball vs Cricket. I've seen a Baseball game in a stadium. Learnt the rules before hand so that I can enjoy the game. It was between Yankees & Diamondbacks. And I was super bored. There's no comparison here. Cricket clears any given day!

How dare iyer thought of taking advantage of dew after winning the toss. Had it been gillu he would have either lost the toss and chose to bat first so that opposition can take benefit of the dew👌👌👌
Mitchell santner losing all the tosses And coward Iyer bowling first in every game to have chase in dew 😂🫡

Barely 3 days ago my feed was full of people mocking the India A batting lineup as flat-track bullies because they folded so badly on Day 1 vs NZ A By Day 4, now that they're going to win this, i haven't seen ONE tweet appreciating the 2nd innings turnaround

Every reference to Jantar Mantar is NOT political 😂🤦 Kabir Ji wrote this 500 years ago. No jantar mantar (ritual) can get you mukti. Only Bhakti can take you there. Such a hilarious post 😂
