Same energy as a girl getting forced into Pageants because her mom couldn't participate. Except it's not her mom. It's an Editor or Writer whose emotional stagnancy has them convinced that the whole world suffers their ills: real or imagined.
there’s something psychologically terroristic about these kids books that are full of adult platitudes. β€œthere’s nothing wrong with asking for help”. yeah. my 5 year old never would have thought there was. β€œyou don’t have to be extraordinary to be loved”. do not tell my kid that

What can I say, I LOVE love and I LOVE a great romantic script... so here is the aftermath of the First Task... with Harry INVITING HIS FUTURE WIFE TO THE BALL πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯° Once again based on the beautiful fanfic of @moonlightbro P.S. 1: I loved making this, even if it ended-up being a relatively long two-part, because it shows the conflict within #malfoid and how her talk with Moody affected her. But in the end, there's no way she could 'Stay Away From Potter', she'll just have to grow alongside him... P.S. 2: If a girl looked at me like Malfoid looks at Harry at 03.15, I would have folded immediately 🀣
β€œDecided who you’re going to the ball with, Draconia?” asked Goyle. Draconia Malfoid sighed, lying back in the grass with her arms crossed behind her head. β€œNo, not yet. Too many boys to choose from.” β€œDidn’t you say a Durmstrang boy asked you?” β€œAs if I’d ever go to the ball with one of those troll-brained idiots.” β€œWell you’d better pick soon, time is running out.” Draconia looked up at the sky, fiddling with her wand. The truth is, no one had asked her. Even Crabbe and Goyle, fat as they are, had several prospects. β€œDid you hear Harry Potter got rejected?” said Goyle, chewing on some candy. Draconia shot up. β€œWhat?” β€œHe asked Cho Chang, and she laughed at him or something.” β€œHe asked… Cho?” Draconia suddenly felt very hot. β€œThe other day, yeah. But she’s going with Cedric, I heard.” β€œMight’ve been a tactic to get into Cedric’s head, try to steal his girl y’know?” chimed in Crabbe. Draconia slowly unclenched her fists. β€œI’m sorry, I just realized I’m late for studying.” β€œSince when do you study?” snorted Goyle, stuffing more candies into her mouth. Draconia smacked the box out of her hands. β€œSince when do you ever stop eating?” Draconia walked away in a huff from the courtyard, in no direction in particular. Honestly, the nerve of that Goyle. The nerve of the boys in this stupid school. She walked past a couple sitting on a bench, kissing. Gross. β€œEverything alright Miss Malfoid?” asked Nearly Headless Nick, poking his head up from beneath the floor. β€œFine. Thanks.” she replied through gritted teeth, stepping through his ghost head as she walked. She found herself in the entrance hall, alone with the Goblet of Fire. The cup was empty and lifeless, having served its purpose of spitting out the names of the Triwizard champions. The room was dimly lit by enchanted blue torches along the walls. She sighed, sitting on a bench in front of it. Mother and father would be so ashamed if she went to the ball herself. Especially after all of those letters telling her to make herself known to Cedric Diggory. β€œA girl of your stature needs to go with a Triwizard champion.” she repeated, sarcastically. The door creaked open, and Draconia eyed it suspiciously as a figure with messy black hair, round glasses, and Gryffindor robes entered the room. β€œWhat do *you* want?” Draconia sneered. β€œNothing with you, that’s for sure.” Harry Potter taunted back. Draconia scoffed. β€œCome to tamper with the goblet again, Mr. Boy-Who-Cheated?” β€œI came to be alone, actually. To think. You ever try that?” β€œDidn’t think you had it in you to ever want a break from the attention.” β€œIt’s hard sometimes, being the greatest wizard who ever lived. I slayed a dragon, you know. Not sure if you saw.” Draconia rolled her eyes so hard she thought they’d flip into the back of her head. β€œWell I’m not leaving. Got to look after the goblet, you know.” she said, gesturing to the cup, β€œSo you may as well join me, so I can keep an eye on you.” Harry opened his mouth like he had something to say, but closed it, and sat next to her. They both sat in silence for several moments, listening to the crackle of the blue torches along the walls. β€œI heard you asked Cho Chang to the ball,” Draconia said softly. β€œYeah. I got turned down.” Draconia started giggling, and Harry’s eyes narrowed. β€œWell who are you going with then?” he said. Draconia’s eye twitched. β€œOh, I haven’t decided yet. Too many suitors to choose from. Thinking of going with a Durmstrang boy, an older one.” Draconia said innocently, eyeing Harry as she said it. β€œDurmstrang?” Harry laughed, β€œThe Malfoid I know wouldn’t go to the ball with one of those troll-brained idiots.” β€œWell perhaps you don’t know me as well as you think, Potter,” she said, stubbornly. β€œPerhaps I don’t.” Harry chuckled. She didn’t reply, continuing to stare at the Goblet of Fire. He really didn’t. She’d attempted to use the spell that killed his parents. Avada kedavra. Moody was right. If Harry really did know her, he would hate her. Maybe he already does. β€œDid you really cheat? You know, to get your name into the cup?” β€œYou think I’d choose to fight a dragon of my own accord?” β€œDon’t play stupid Potter, you wouldn’t have known there’d be a dragon.” β€œNo, I didn’t put my name in the cup.” β€œHonestly?” β€œHonestly. I don’t know who did. I thought it was you, for a while.” β€œMe?” Draconia laughed, β€œWhy would I do that?” β€œI dunno. To humiliate me?” Harry smirked as he said it. β€œIf I wanted to humiliate you I’d make sure you ended up alone at the Yule Ball,” Draconia giggled, β€œbut I wouldn’t kill you.” β€œYeah well, it seems you’ll get your way then.” β€œSince Cho turned you down?” β€œI don’t care about Cho. She was my second choice anyway,” he said, defensively. β€œIs that so.” β€œYeah.” β€œSo you’ve been rejected twice? How embarrassing.” Draconia said flatly, not even looking at him. β€œI haven’t, you twit. Only once. I never asked the other girl.” β€œOh?” Harry looked down at his shoes, and Draconia felt her pulse quicken. β€œIt’s just… how do you ask someone to the ball that you know will say no?” β€œAfter slaying a dragon is there seriously any vapid, easily impressed girl in this school who would turn you down, Potter?” β€œYou would.” β€œI’m not vapid, or easily impressed.” Annoyingly, Harry looked like he was stifling a laugh. β€œThe girl I’m talking about is… well, it’s complicated.” β€œComplicated.” she repeated. β€œI mean, she’s beautiful. Intelligent, too. Rough around the edges, but… I dunno. I think she hates me, honestly.” β€œWell if it makes you feel better, no one could hate you more than me.” β€œExactly.” Draconia frowned. What did that mean? β€œDo whatever you want, Potter. Why are you telling me this?” β€œWell, you’re a girl. How would you feel?” She sighed. β€œIf someone, somewhere, out there felt that way about me, I would want them to tell me, yes.” β€œEven if you hated them?” β€œSure, Potter,” she said, rolling her eyes, β€œEven if I hated them.” Harry rolled his wand between his fingertips, nervously. β€œThen Draconia… would you like to go to the ball with me?” Draconia blinked, suddenly feeling very hot again.

Hey @TheRedcapsNet you got a mention.
All across European folklore, Goblins appear with different names, temperaments, and local customs. In Scotland & Northern England, you have the Redcaps: malevolent, murderous spirits in ruined border castles who dip their caps in the blood of travelers they kill. 🧡 [1/4]

The Holy Grail of Dungeons & Dragons history is up for auction. This is absolutely incredible. Gary Gygax’s original, handwritten Greyhawk Castle manuscripts from 1973–1976 are currently being auctioned by The Collector’s Trove. And these aren’t reproductions or later interpretations of Castle Greyhawk. These are Gary’s actual dungeon maps, handwritten keys, notes, and original illustrations from the earliest days of D&D. The collection includes material from the original Greyhawk Castle created in 1973, before Dungeons & Dragons was even published, along with the expanded castle Gary developed between 1974 and 1976. We’re talking about the legendary dungeons explored by Robilar, Tenser, Murlynd, and so many other characters whose adventures became part of D&D history. According to the auction description, the manuscripts contain dozens of dungeon levels, handwritten encounters, and ten original illustrations by Gary himself, including an early drawing of the carrion crawler with his handwritten creature statistics on the reverse! And perhaps my favorite detail of all? Some of this priceless gaming history was preserved inside a battered 29-cent package of quadrille graph paper. Just think about that. More than fifty years ago, Gary was sitting at a table in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, drawing dungeon corridors, stocking rooms with monsters and treasure, and creating adventures for his friends. No computers. No fancy publishing software. Just pencils, graph paper, dice, and an extraordinary imagination. And from those humble beginnings came a game that would change millions of lives, including mine. As I’m writing this, bidding has already reached $61,300, and the reserve hasn’t even been met. I sincerely hope whoever ultimately acquires these remarkable manuscripts recognizes their historical importance and works to preserve them for future generations. Because these aren’t simply old maps from a famous D&D campaign. These are the actual dungeons where Dungeons & Dragons was born. What an extraordinary piece of our hobby’s history to see come to light after more than half a century. ebay.io/m/wE7Udt

Oh my gosh! Poor Steve!
Steve, a tiny dibbler at Perth Zoo, reportedly helped save his endangered species without ever becoming a father. Female dibblers prefer larger mates, and Steve was too small and apparently didn't smell appealing. Keepers used him as the first male females encountered during breeding trials. After meeting Steve, females found the next males more attractive and were more willing to mate. According to the zoo, Steve lived a long life as an unlikely conservation hero.

🚨#BREAKING: Two TEEN BROTHERS are being hailed as HEROES after they RESCUED a Florida mom and her little boy who were TRAPPED on their kitchen counter with their 3 dogs as floodwater filled their home... ...the mother called 911 THREE TIMES and no one could come, then two TEEN BROTHERS grabbed a kayak and a paddleboard and went and SAVED THEM!!! ALL OF THEM made it out, the dogs too!!!! ❀️ The t names are Jonah and Lucas Marshall. Jonah is 15. Lucas is 17. They live in Palm Bay, Florida. This week, Palm Bay got slammed by some of the worst flooding the city has ever seen. Brittany Grant and her son climbed up on their kitchen counter with their three dogs as the water kept rising inside the house. No way out. She called 911. Then she called again. Then she called a THIRD time... and was told there were no emergency resources available because of the flooding. So she did the only thing left. She posted on Facebook. A mother saw that post and her two boys didn’t wait around. Jonah borrowed a neighbor’s KAYAK and Lucas grabbed his PADDLEBOARD. Together with another neighbor, they paddled through the floodwater to a house full of strangers. Jonah says they didn’t even think about it, those people were in danger, so they just went. Lucas admits it was a little nerve-wracking... but he figured they were strong and able, so why not. By the time they got there, Brittany and her son had been stuck on that counter for MULTIPLE HOURS. Lucas got the little boy out FIRST. And the whole way, he kept him talking so he wouldn’t be scared. What’s your name? How’s school going? Then he told him: β€œThis is a weird day, isn’t it?” A 17-year-old kid, in the middle of a flood, making a scared little boy feel normal. 😭 The brothers got Brittany, her son, and ALL THREE DOGS to dry land. Brittany says if it weren’t for them, she doesn’t know how they would have gotten out. And she says neighbors she had NEVER MET restored her faith in humanity. The next generation isn’t lost, folks. Some of them are paddling into floodwater when no one else can come. GOD BLESS Jonah and Lucas Marshall, and GOD BLESS the mama who raised them. THIS IS THE AMERICA I KNOW!!! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

With all due respect, the number of times I spoke with Paul Ryan from my election as governor through the 2024 campaign: zero. And Mitt Romney was attacking me back then because we beat Disney on gender ideology and he is a corporatist. Try demonstrating a little more discernment next time someone is peddling bullshβ€” to you.
Now THIS is the Ron DeSantis that I wanted to see on the National Stage the last time he ran for President, but didn’t deliver on! Unfortunately, he allowed Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan advise him back then, when Americans knew how RINO’ish those two were back then. So there advise made him look like a fool. But now, his confidence is back … β€œI saw NO INDICATION that Republican senators were interested in doing conservative change! WHY haven't we done immigration, SHUT OFF H1B visas?! WHY haven't we CODIFIED Trump's immigration executive orders?! Why haven't we STRIPPED jurisdiction from the federal courts over deportation cases?! There's SO MANY THINGS we COULD HAVE DONE." "THEY DIDN'T EVEN ATTEMPT IT." "They say, 'oh, if only we needed 50 votes we would've done it!' YOU DON'T HAVE 50 VOTES. You NEVER SHOWED you'd do conservative things, even with 50 votes! [RE: filibuster]...I NEVER saw an indication that they'd do it." "This midterm was a rebuke of the president and Congress...BUT, a LOT of our voters stayed home because they were FRUSTRATED with the LACK of productivity from Republicans in the House and Senate." We definitely deserved better from our Senate, something John Thune did not want to deliver. Now, we need to repair and win in 2028, or Democrats are destroying America!

Ron DeSantis is like that one employee who survived mass layoffs because he was the only one who did his job and now he can shit talk all his former coworkers and they can't do shit because he's the only one left standing.
πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Ron DeSantis attacks the Republican Party's decision to run Vivek Ramaswamy in Ohio: "My mom's from Youngstown. Ohio is a working-class state, very blue-collar. You know, Vivek, he's like a tech guy, did this Alzheimer's drug, and he wants to bring in people, foreign worker on visas."
