Potentially also--with this new, larger corpus--because fiction is more heavily re-printed, and because libraries aren't as eager to buy reprints as publishers are to market them. Like, I'm sure the post-2000 rebound in 'thou/thy/thee' is mostly reprints Google happily shills.
