With the rise of AI voice cloning, voice actors are being abused by the modding communities. As a member of the Skyrim modding scene, I am deeply concerned at the practice of using AI voice cloning to create and distribute non-consensual deepfake pornographic content.
This is one of the single most deplorable positions I have ever heard someone take, and it speaks volumes about the fundamental way this person and this company views the world.
A life's worth is not measured by efficiency. Actually, fully monstrous.
If it was truly irrelevant, it wouldn't need to be removed, and you wouldn't care.
You want it removed because you know that a non-trivial number of people don't want to play AI slop. You'd prefer to decieve than be transparent and let them make their own choices. Disappointing.

Agreed. The AI tag is relevant to art exhibits for authorship disclosure, and to digital content licensing marketplaces where buyers need to understand the rights situation. It makes no sense for game stores, where AI will be involved in nearly all future production.
In a few short weeks, the very people who based their campaign on "we're the laughing stock of the world" has genuinely turned us into the laughing stock of the world.
Well, well, well. If it isn't "we have been gobbling investor money with no clear path on how we're going to earn it back" rearing its ugly head.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. GenAI was always a bubble that was going to burst.
Watching my country willingly embrace white nationalism, authoritarianism, and fear of the other based purely on outright lies is one of the most profoundly sad experiences of my life. The cultural damage cannot be overstated. My heart is broken.
I do not follow Elon Musk. I do not engage with Elon Musk's posts.
My entire "for you" tab, normally filled with gaming news, MMA, and fantasy art (the things I actually engage with), has been replaced with nothing but Elon Musk.
This website has been absolutely destroyed.
The whole discourse around Assassin's Creed/Yasuke is a blatant, mask-off example of the how prevalent racism is in gaming communities.
They're not mad about a non-Japanese protag, because there *is* a Japanese protag. Just the mere presence of a black man is infuriating them.
I wish Spider-Man 3 didn't suck so much because then I would go see it and say I saw the whole Raimi trilogy rerelease.
Unfortunately, it does suck that much.

Hey @tts_monster, an AI version of my voice is being used without my permission on your platform. Even worse, my voice has been used to create racist & offensive content. THIS IS NOT OK WITH ME. In fact, it deeply offends me. But the real question here is, WHY IS IT OK WITH YOU? Would really love to know.

I had the privilege to talk to many amazing artists like @JonLamArt, @StevenZapata @FlippedNormals @patrickbrownart and scientist like @ravenben about the harmful effects of current popular Generative AI models:

You're probably aware MIDJOURNEY can serve up apparently copyrighted material, but did you know it can actually do so WITHOUT naming a franchise, character, or actor? Want to know how few words it takes and why that matters? A thread and paper with @GaryMarcus 1/10
"It would be really hard for us to check if we stole your image, so we're just going to steal it anyway."
Can't wait for the regulation hammer to come down hard on this. Only a matter of time. Until then, my heart goes out to actual creators whose work is being stolen.

Genuine evil.

@ArtStationHQ, how is it that people are allowed to promote using AI to generate deepfake pornography of real people on your site? This guy is even advertising "AI Nudifiers" as if there is some sort of necessity to see women naked on demand without their consent. 1/3

Hi all! I've seen some posts from people defending the use of AI voice generators by saying "what about people making a project who can't afford to hire voice actors?" Here's some more info and resources for you ⬇️🧵
