Alright, indoor farming reduces the seasonal effects. With good planning and execution, we can get 3-4 growing seasons per year for our crops.

According to Mr Robert Asiimwe, our Regional Programme Officer – Northern Uganda, accountability works when citizens raise service delivery concerns, engage duty-bearers using evidence and track commitments to ensure institutions respond and take corrective action where necessary
Effective governance begins with informed citizens. Participants in Amuru District are strengthening their understanding of citizens’ rights and responsibilities, democratic governance and opportunities to participate in public decision-making.

Yep, we gravitate to deals that appear attractive, a scoop, a distressed sale, but often, there are reasons for this. Emotion should not over-ride rational assessment.

Good post, evidence is key, like due diligence. The opportunity is to own under-valued land as an investment, an asset, or to uniquely develop something big with 99 others?

With that money you can still invest in Uganda and contribute to the Social economic transformation of our mother land? Why rush to take the money out of Uganda? Is Uganda a failed economy? The government shouldn't allow YPA to take money from Ugandans and invest it out of Uganda!

Robert, I commend your unbiased approach. My appeal on this well elaborate thought process is you incorporate an extensive conversation with the team at YPA. I believe a sit down with them will give you access to information that's exclusive to them. From that update us.

Big appreciation to my brother @bwambaledickso , CEO @TranscendAfric , for always supporting and believing in initiatives that empower young people. Your continued commitment and generosity make a real difference.
We appreciate our partners who made today possible. Your time, resources, dedication and commitment helped create a space where young people could learn, speak, connect, dream and see that their voices matter. But beyond what you gave today, we are grateful for the inspiration you left behind with the pupils of Namayumba. The ideas shared, the stories told, the encouragement given and the possibilities you helped them see for their own futures. We hope the pupils carry these messages long after today and that the conversations sparked continue beyond the walls of Raise Up A Child. Thank you for showing up for girls. Thank you for investing in their potential. Thank you for choosing to walk with us. When we #UniteForGirls, we leave communities stronger than we found them and that’s exactly what we did today.

I don’t think the generation is beyond repair. Every generation faces different challenges. The solution is not to blame one group, but to strengthen parenting, guidance, education, values and communication. There is still room for change.

Education (knowledge) also gives you options, and reduces risk. The many poor ventures in Uganda fuelled by money tell you the reality.

Today’s feature in @newvisionwire Vision captures an important part of ActionAid’s 2026 climate justice campaign: debt cancellation. For communities on the frontline of climate change, telling them to adapt without addressing the financial constraints facing their countries is not enough. Africa needs climate finance that enables countries to protect people, invest in resilience and build sustainable futures, not more debt that deepens the problem. @actionaiduganda @ActionAidDK #ClimateWeekofAction

Thank your Robert. Very informative and well written report. I pray we don't experience that in Kampala especially. The quality of houses would epic destruction. I do not think we factor earthquake planning when approving physical plans even.
