Instead of community projects being described as pioneering- it should be seen as original as well as normal. In other words the de facto gold standard - that locals know what is best for them 🌈♻️✅ theguardian.com/environment/…

Just over my horizon - half a ☢️ Sizewell C is currently operational at a much lower operating cost + doesn’t come with a multi century ongoing cost. This is why ♻️ will become the generator of choice ✅💚 🔋🔋 will become the backup + smooth the duck curve ✅💚

Credit where credit is due. This principled change-maker will be a literal & metaphorical breath of fresh air for this country 👏👏 Getting close to Tony Benn in my estimation 👍
Clean energy jobs are the route to economic change in our country.

Energy clubs offer chance to reduce bills by up to 30%. The fact that energy is renewable & the “supplier” is not for profit is indicative of a reality that certain parts of the media continually demonstrate support for advertising interests not readers theguardian.com/money/2025/o…

It would always be preferential that utilities should be not for profit. By reducing bills by 25% I.e. the profit extracted from our bills. That would be a better growth strategy - certainly easy to implement ✅♻️🔋💚 theguardian.com/politics/202…

Instead of having more & more parties reflecting smaller & smaller % of voters - how about ALL voters having their actual democratic preference within a proportional parliament ✅🗳🌈
The top 10 countries in the 2025 Global Social Progress Index all use proportional representation. When all votes count social outcomes improve. #getPRdone #ProportionalRepresentation socialprogress.org/alti-glob…

Measuring the success of Brexit 9 yrs in, continues to remain elusive. The evidence points to an ebbing tide of leavers who seemingly still cannot agree the ideal version of Brexit to implement.

To discuss immigration, let’s talk about population demographics, tax & voting in order to frame it correctly. However, here’s some simple questions to get started. Is immigration the cause or the effect of our societal change? Ban emigration first? theguardian.com/commentisfre…

Leaving the 🇪🇺 + withdrawing from the Dublin accord are material changes in anyone’s book. Advocates for these policies along with its implementation, irrespective of its state of perfection must shoulder responsibility for ALL of the consequences - especially immigration 🤔🌈🗳
"Nigel Farage and the Conservatives are to blame for the small boats crisis." Lib Dem leader Sir Ed Davey tells #R4Today that prior to Brexit, the UK's returns agreement with European countries was a 'strong deterrent'.

🔋🚅 completes 200 miles👏👏 this will be a great way to speed up electrification of existing lines. This is in conjunction with CVLR in Coventry bodes well for public transport ♻️💚✅🔋
And that’s it - 200 miles, probably a touch more on battery power. Congratulations to @GWRHelp and @networkrailwest who played a blinder too!

More than 450 million Europeans. 29 countries. 1 shared freedom. This year, we mark 40 years of Schengen! The Schengen Agreement has reshaped how over 450 million Europeans live, work and travel.

Rail is the future of travel in Europe, which is all the more reason to continue investment in high speed rail here in UK. Remember parts of our network are now in its 3rd century of operation - excellent value. HS2 to HS1 link + Schengen 👌 theguardian.com/world/2025/a…

More than happy to share some funds with closed source as long we can can do the same with open source. Education incurs a lot of licensing costs that could be much more efficiently focused on students. OSS can be tuned & adapted + not depreciated ✅ theregister.com/2025/08/07/u…

It’s not the 🇪🇺 or #Brexit that’s the immediate issue- it’s the uncontrolled drift while everyone under their breath says, just make a decision😤 then waits for someone else to do it. Take back control & use your voice along with your 🗳 to engender the change that you want ✅🌈
Brexit isn’t working, and the British people know it. They're fed up with the damage caused by the deal forced on us by Conservative party. Keir Starmer must show some courage and set Britain on a clear path to a new customs union with the EU by 2030.

Remember your school days when teacher did those Compare & Contrast questions. Where you actually had to read all the info, contextualise it, list ALL the permutations then form a summary before making a considered judgement based on the evidence. All 🚆are contrail free ✅
£49bn for a new runway and some more terminal capacity. Compare that to £80bn-odd for an entire new 140 mile high speed railway with 50 major bridges and viaducts, four new stations and 32 miles of double-bore tunnel. I know which sounds good value to me… bbc.com/news/articles/cj6yz7…
