You don’t need your entire life figured out to trust God with your future. Some of the most beautiful things He will do won’t come with explanations, warnings, or perfect timing. There will be seasons of uncertain roads, delayed answers, and failed plans. Uncertainty doesn’t mean God is absent. Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Stop pressuring yourself to know everything. Trust Him, not what only He can see.

Blaming Kamala Harris for Donald Trump’s win in 2024 is myopic, to put it kindly.
No Democratic candidate was going to win in 2024. The party was under a historically unpopular incumbent who had a disastrous debate that, though a fluke, shattered the optics of his acuity.
Under Biden, there was a real risk of sub-200 EC votes. Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Mexico, and Virginia were all in play. It would’ve been a wipeout had he stayed in. She turned it into a nail-biter, without her own staff, in only 3 months, after being silenced and sidelined for four years.
Add to that — administrations globally faced a massive anti-incumbency wave because of COVID-19. America most certainly was not unique to that. But Kamala Harris outperformed every incumbent worldwide in the first year since WWII in which every incumbent party lost vote share.
Kamala Harris saved seats in both the House and Senate. She was within 115K flipped votes across 3 states of winning the presidency. The election was decided by 229,766 votes across Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin out of about 155.2M cast nationally — just 0.14%. It was the closest presidential election this century. It ranks among the three closest presidential elections in American history.
The entire “she can’t win” argument is merely based in misogynoir so commonly levied against her in favour of genuine criticism.
She will run. She will win. And people will be forced to accept that, one way or another.
"What doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" Micah 6:8
Governor JB Pritzker has offered a compelling example of what executive leadership should look like heading into the 120th Congress: a substantive, state-specific Day One Agenda that translates the challenges facing Illinois families into concrete federal policy recommendations.
I believe every newly elected governor and U.S. senator should take note.
Develop a plan for your state. Identify the federal policies that are helping or hurting your communities. Engage local governments, labor, business, advocacy organizations, and the people most affected. Establish clear priorities, identify the legislative and administrative actions required, and articulate what progress should look like.
And for those already considering a run for president in 2028, this is an especially important opportunity.
The country does not need another campaign built primarily around slogans, personality, and political positioning. It needs leaders who can demonstrate that they understand how government works, know how policy affects people's lives, can build coalitions, and have a credible plan to deliver results.
Don't just tell us why you want to lead the country. Show us what you would do with the opportunity.
The road to 2028 should begin with governing, not campaigning. And the best presidential platform may be the one you build by listening to the people you already represent.

A few notes and cautions on 2028:
There is a very real (and often ignored) difference between who might make a good president and who has the potential to win the nomination.
People like Buttigieg and Kelly are incredible politicians, but numerically, they don't have the numbers necessary to win the nomination if polls stay even remotely consistent with where they are now. And you can't win the general unless you can become the nominee.
Harris has been consistently achieving 40-50% with Black Democrats and 30-40% with Hispanic Democrats. She commands almost every demographic, across nearly every region. She will be very difficult to beat. That isn't merely my opinion, it's math.
Also — people like Talarico, Ossoff, etc are not going to leave their newly elected positions to run for president. You can wishcast it all you want, but it almost definitely isn't happening. For folks like James or Jon to leave their very important posts to run for positions they aren't qualified for would be poor politics, and just a very, very stupid decision.
There will be plenty of qualified candidates running. But people like AOC, Ossoff, etc (though I really do like the former, and love the latter) aren't qualified enough this cycle to repair the damage done by Trump and his administration.
It is Harris' to lose. And she is immensely popular and helpful among the party, as demonstrated last night.

@SymoneSanders46 to @KamalaHarris: "I have heard a lot from folks that your attention to them on the ground was helpful. Scott Colom told me that directly, that like, the fact that you came down there, that you were invested in Mississippi, it didn't just make a difference to him, it made a difference to the people on the ground.
@EugeneDaniels2: "Abdul El-Sayed said the same thing."
@SymoneSanders46: "Yes, that you were an important factor for people."

I hope you know that there are so many people who see your efforts and genuinely appreciate everything you have done and continue to do for the American people. You showed the way, stood strong, and led a fight that inspired so many to recognize the power of their own voices and votes. Your impact goes far beyond any title or position, and I hope you never forget that what you do is seen, valued, and deeply appreciated. 💙

On Election Day, the American people spoke loud and clear: they are done with the corruption, incompetence, and callousness coming from the White House and the capitulation of Republican leaders. As I traveled the country to campaign for Democrats up and down the ballot, I witnessed the resolve of the people to turn pain into purpose, and anger into action.
I congratulate all the great candidates who ran fantastic races and the thousands of volunteers who made calls, knocked on doors, and ensured Democrats won resoundingly.
Now, the work begins to actually deliver results. The American people have elected Democrats across the country in federal, state, and local races who must be ruthless in using every lever of power to deliver economic relief for working families and hold this administration accountable for their deep-seated corruption.
The people demand nothing less.

The older I get, the more I understand why people choose Jesus, gardens, books, home-cooked meals, and long walks. The world tells us to chase money, attention, and approval. Jesus teaches us to seek Him first. At some point, you stop chasing what the world offers and start protecting the peace only God can give.
