I’m told the Chiefs have at least 1 kicker in town working out with the likelihood of signing one of them to the practice squad

Ashton Gillotte is a big part of the Chiefs' solid early-down defense. He finds the ball. 4 'Stops' (PFF) was 2nd on the team despite not starting The whole DL kicked ass against the run and set up 3rd-and-longs vs. Seattle, who just traded for Quenton Nelson

Colts get the trade market poppin' with 2 weeks until the deadline. Should be a fun one
Trade: The #Colts are sending eight-time Pro-Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the #Seahawks, per @AdamSchefter and me. Nelson is on an expiring contract and the Colts get back draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency. A Colts legend goes to the champs.

The Cyrus breakout is coming
Rookie WRs averaging over 1.5 yards per route run. A mix of the stable season-long starters and some small-sample-size wonders.

3rd & 9 and 3rd & 10 allowed on the same drive Hard to fault the pass rush. The back seven was either allowing an open pass in man or not rallying to the ball effectively ffom zone

We finally found a role for Jeffrey Bassa in the Chiefs' defense He played 2 snaps in Seattle, both as a QB Spy. Remember this for the Buffalo matchup

Chiefs punted the first two drives of the game, but I think a couple of better reps from 15 could've kept these drives alive On the 2nd play, it's 3rd & 4. Ideally, he doesn't drop so far back in the pocket. Give yourself a chance to scramble forward if nothing's open

I have a feeling 38 would look a lot better in coverage on the boundary Mansoor or Nohl need to be following WR1s into the slot on crucial downs soon

Sorry to do this but this has nothing to do with “out schemed.” Pat runs up to the line, correctly points out the blitzer, and 5 of the 6 blockers have everyone accounted for. The newest OL makes an error and pushes through the DE when he shouldn’t. How is that “out schemed”??
show overload to one side, mug up Center, send blitz late on the side opposite the overload, and win. just out schemed. simple, really.

The Chiefs want us to focus on "the guys playing." A trip to Seattle reminded the relevance of those who consistently are not: kansascity.com/sports/spt-co…

Tyquan Thornton was so important I think his absence is more significant than Rashee Rice’s

I do understand the game situation: you want to have a chance before half to score, so go all-out on that 3rd down Chiefs had their best guy in tight coverage. Tip your cap
Replying to @minakimes
JSN now 4/4 for 80 yds and a TD vs man. 😬

It does feel like we haven't seen the Chiefs unleash K9 as a receiver yet... Would be a good time to do it
