2014 से देश की सत्ता में बैठी भाजपा को आज कांग्रेस से लोकतंत्र बचाने के लिए रैलियाँ निकालनी पड़ रही हैं। नितिन नवीन जी और अमित शाह जी, यह राजनीतिक विडंबना नहीं तो और क्या है?
जिस कांग्रेस को जनता ने विपक्ष की भूमिका सौंपी है, उसी कांग्रेस के सवालों से लोकतंत्र को ख़तरा बताने वाली भाजपा शायद भूल गई है कि लोकतंत्र में विपक्ष सत्ता का विकल्प ही नहीं, उसकी जवाबदेही का प्रहरी भी होता है।
विपक्ष सवाल पूछे तो लोकतंत्र ख़तरे में, विपक्ष विरोध करे तो अराजकता, और विपक्ष जनता के अधिकारों की बात करे तो लोकतंत्र बचाने के लिए भाजपा को मैदान में उतरना पड़ता है!
वाह! सत्ता भी आपकी, सरकार भी आपकी, संस्थाएँ भी आपके अधीन - और लोकतंत्र को ख़तरा भी विपक्ष से?
अमित शाह जी और नितिन नवीन जी, लोकतंत्र को बचाने के नाम पर विपक्ष के ख़िलाफ़ रैलियाँ निकालने से पहले यह समझ लीजिए:
लोकतंत्र में विपक्ष का होना समस्या नहीं, विपक्ष के सवालों से सत्ता का असहज होना समस्या है।
कांग्रेस को लोकतंत्र बचाने के लिए भाजपा के प्रमाणपत्र की आवश्यकता नहीं है। लोकतंत्र को बचाने के लिए भाजपा को यह स्वीकार करना होगा कि सत्ता जनता देती है, लेकिन सत्ता से सवाल पूछने का अधिकार भी जनता का ही है।

The brutality inflicted upon NSUI workers and the way they were assaulted is unacceptable. We came here to get an FIR registered, but the DCP is neither willing to speak to us nor listen to our concerns.
We will return tomorrow and continue our protest. An FIR will be registered we will fight for it. It is our constitutional right.
We are sitting here in protest, blocking the road, and Delhi Police can do whatever they want. We will not back down until justice is served!
