Those were just some of the words I received last year in voicemails during our 2025 reelection campaign.
The recent NYT article highlights how threats to elected officials have been rising.
I'm thankful that after I contacted the Va Beach Police Dept., they were able to speak with the gentleman in person, who subsequently apologized to the officers.
To put the threatening tone used toward elected officials into context, here is the full voicemail from Oct 2025, unedited.
