Unless you uncouple MLS from SUM, open the pyramid via #ProRelforUSA, and start to follow FIFA guidelines on youth development payments then you are just moving deck chairs on the Titanic. There is no incentive to invest in youth academies in the current system. You know this.

The world doesn’t work that way. US Soccer does. Merit should be the principle factor in determining a team’s divisional level. Leaving it to Gatekeepers is the wrong way and America suffers for it. #ProRelForUSA

“You ask, you know, the best owners in sports [about pro/rel] and they’re gonna say ‘Yeah, we love the idea of relegation in sports, let’s keep pushing people out,’ you know, because they’re not scared of being relegated.” - Michael Rubin, part-owner of the 76ers #ProRelforUSA

Open market soccer at work. Just imagine turning on the lights in the US to this type of opportunity. It only exists with #prorelforusa

During these days where both #USWNT & #USMNT don’t seem to be pleased with how they are being treated by the #USSF... This might be a good time for a specific reminder of who thinks Cordeiro was a great choice. The beds we make... #ProRelforUSA #reformUSSF

Stand up for the game today. Every club in every community in the United States deserves inclusion. We need an open pyramid based on merit and opportunity.

This! It is correctly pointed out that when fans buy more tickets and watch on TV that those revenues do NOT go to the USWNT. Instead they go MLS owners through their company Soccer United Marketing which has a no bid contract with US Soccer.

The average attendance at the International Champions Cup fell below 30,000 a game for the 11 U.S. matches, almost half the average three years ago. bit.ly/2Zjtw7l

What does that even mean? I don't regret spending countless hours trying to save an 11k ballpark for an NASL expansion team, even though I didn't get an NASL team and the stadium was ultimately torn down. Better to fight & lose than sit silent & jaded. #ProRelForUSA #OpenSoccer

There’s an obvious solution: promotion and relegation.
If the rest of the world manages to have no-cost/low-cost development academies and they all have promotion and relegation...maybe those two things are related. #ProRelForUSA

Precisely. Those hoarding access to the top would benefit by having more when others have access from below. #prorelforusa

This is all of it, right here. Inclusion or exclusion. No two ways about it. Is it the game of people or not?

Would all of us #ProRelForUSA folks be so bold as to demand Pro/Rel for @NWSL at this point?
