It was a pleasure to hear about the EU-funded Erasmus project that Caritas in 6 countries (DE, RO, IT, LT, AU, UK) were involved in to facilitate health prevention and promotion in families with vulnerabilities. @CaritasEuropa @Caritas_web @CaritasAustria @CaritasItaliana @CSAN
How to ensure people over profits when it comes to long-term care delivery for the elderly? This is one of many questions we are discussing at @CaritasEuropa report launch today.
Happy to be attending the EC Mutual Learning Workshop on Quality in LTC and reflecting on the necessary indicators for achieving integrated quality long-term care. @CaritasEuropa @katarinaik @BachmannDana
.@CaritasEuropa colleagues present evidence-based LTC recommendations during its Fair Care Study Visit in Romania to influence and support the EU Member States in implementing the Council Recommendation on LTC. @Caritas_web @CaritasVl
Its been great to hear about Seniorinet, a Romanian platform of experts contributing with concrete solutions for LTC, as she urges more public funding should be invested in future LTC models to be sustainable and human-centred. @CaritasEuropa
During @CaritasEuropa Fair Care study visit, Dr. Valentin Vladu, health and LTC policy expert, stressed the importance for mayors and local authorities to understand the real concerns of communities to prevent elderly residents from dying alone in their homes, without LTC.
We are pleased to welcome Dorina Vicol, policy expert from the Romanian Ministry for Labour and Social Security to speak at Caritas exchange on reforming LTC today as part of our Fair Care Study Visit. @CaritasEuropa @SenioriNet
It’s important to remember to care for the carers! LTC workers, especially live-in care workers are working hard, sometimes under exploitative conditions and need labour rights protections! @CaritasEuropa
