We're working on adding "Cost of Goods Sold" as a field to WooCommerce products.
For variable products, you will be able to set a base cost on the parent, and override it for each variation. Would you prefer to:
1. Add on top of base cost
Entering a value for a variation will make the total cost = base cost + variation cost.
2. Override the base cost
Entering a value for a variation will replace the base cost, making the total cost = variation cost (if set) or the base cost.
3. Both, with "add" default
Both options are available, but the additive method is the default. It can be changed to "override" via checkbox for each variation.
4. Both, with "override" def
Both options are available, but the override method is the default. It can be changed to "add" via checkbox for each variation.
11%Add on top of base cost
54%Override the base cost
20%Both, with "add" def
14%Both, with "override" def

I've been experimenting with block-based mega menus powered by a single custom block and the Interactivity API.
Still a bit rough under the hood, but a successful proof-of-concept.

Glad I’m not the only one noticing this. I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it: agencies turned plugin/theme devs are *the* reason WP is successful and to ignore them is a terrible idea.

make.wordpress.org/core/2022…
In WordPress 6.1, there is a massive improvement to database performance. Database queries in WP_Query are now cached. A ticket I have been working on for 5+ years was merged. This should result in billions of less repeated database queries core.trac.wordpress.org/tick…
