Do not Undermine Democracy I have received with shock the news of an order by the Federal High Court in Abuja nullifying the emergence of the Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and all the actions he has taken. This is unsettling and surprising. I do not challenge the ruling of the court. The court of law is constituted to determine disputes according to the law. My concern is that three months before a general election, it is in the public interest to have certainty. It is not good to have too many uncertainties about candidates and parties a few weeks before a presidential election. This instability is obviously engineered by the ruling party, just as they have done against me in the Labour Party and continue to do so to close down civic space for a robust campaign. It is also from the same rulebook that manufactures violence against us in our campaigns. One mark of democracy is that at all times, it is voters and not courts that choose leaders. I trust in the judiciary. As a public officer, I have shown deep respect for the judiciary. I appeal that we protect the integrity of democracy by not undermining the free and fair choice of candidates. The sustenance of democracy in Nigeria, in the midst of encroaching military rule in West Africa, should strengthen our resolve to protect opposition politics and not stamp out opposition parties. It is because of the importance of opposition to the sustenance of democracy that I have always promised that, as President, I will take a special interest in ensuring opposition parties are stable and thriving, and that opposition candidates are not persecuted out of electoral contests. This is a time to strengthen our democracy by allowing the opposition to thrive. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

This is my brother. Iv never met him but I’m praying for him today. Please stand with him and every #Christian throughout the world who is being persecuted by Muslims.
Nigeria: Yet another Christian has been sentenced to death for the crime of self-defense. Victor Solomon (aka Zidane), a Christian who defended his community from Fulani Islamist attacks has been sentenced to death for doing so. Shockingly, he was charged with the same crime in two different state courts. He was acquitted in one but condemned in Kaduna by a Muslim judge. Christians have a right to defend themselves from Islamists who attack them. This is not okay. Pray for Zidane, his family and community. He needs immediate help. #FreeZidane

JUST FOR THE RECORDS: Solomon Victor is sentenced to « Death by Hanging » but no Bandits or Terrorists has ever received such judgment in Nigeria, instead, AREWA leaders are calling for Peace deal and Amnesty for them. He was tried in two different courts, which was unprecedented in the history of justice in any country around the world. Yet, he was acquitted by the first court of the accusations. His only crime was fighting back against the destruction of the Southern Kaduna ADARA Kingdom; a TRADITIONAL Chiefdom that was Balkanized into an Islamic Emirate by Governor Nasir El-Rufai The people celebrating his sentencing are the same people advocating for Amnesty and Peace deal with Terrorists, they can’t show us a single record of any Bandits or Terrorists that was sentenced to « Death by Hanging » or that was condemned by the AREWA elders like Sheik Gumi. This injustice must not stand.

Breaking: Report reaching me has it that a Kaduna high court has sentenced Victor Solomon popularly known as Zidane to death by hanging for murder. Zidane was arrested by the Elrufai led government in 2018 for defending his Adara community against Fulani terrorists attacks. He was charged for murder in two different state high courts which one of the courts acquitted him of the charge while the other now condemned him to death. Why should same charges be filed in two different state high courts? This is another case of self defense getting the death sentence in Nigeria. In October 2025, I visited Zidane in Kaduna prison where he assured me that since one court had acquitted him of the same charge, the other will do the same. Zidane was wrong, he believed too much in the compromised judiciary where judges dish out sentences based on the accused faiths.

“Let not the believers take the disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. And whoever does that has nothing with Allah, unless you protect yourselves from them as a precaution. And Allah warns you of Himself, and to Allah is the final return.” — Qur’an 3:28
After a prolonged gun battle, troops of the Joint Task Force have successfully foiled an attempted incursion by bandits into some communities in Shanono Local Government Area of Kano State.
19
O Prophet, urge the believers to fight. If there are among you twenty who are steadfast, they will overcome two hundred; and if there are among you one hundred, they will overcome one thousand of those who disbelieve, because they are a people who do not understand.” Qur’an 8:65
The ISWAP terrorists threatening Christians to convert to Islam or face death are obviously not Muslims and their actions in no way represent Islam or its teachings. Islam was never spread through coercion, intimidation or violence. The Qur’an is explicit that there is no compulsion in religion and even during the time of our beloved Prophet (PBUH), Muslims coexisted peacefully with non-Muslims in both Makkah and Madinah, bound by mutual respect, justice and shared humanity. What these terrorists are doing is a complete betrayal of Islam and a distortion of its values. Their renewed campaign of violence and intimidation is utterly condemnable and it stands against both our religion and humanity.

Stop going round and round , call names.
Unfortunately, Nigerians have become the easiest people to manipulate online. Our country has gradually turned into a tool for many actors who commit atrocities against humanity to systematically use our voices, engagements and platforms to cover up their crimes. With our large, highly active but gullible social media population, plus our deep internal divisions, anyone seeking sympathy, validation or engagement online quickly finds their way into Nigeria’s digital space. Once here, they pick a side, frame a narrative around an external crisis and that is all it takes. A large number of people will readily align with them, amplify their talking points and even defend obvious foreign interests. Sadly, this goes as far as Nigerians speaking against their own country to defend another nation that would not even consider them worthy of entry.

JUST IN: Christian Nigerian farmer, who killed an armed Islamic radical in self-defense after being violently attacked on his farm, saved from the death penalty after U.S. pressure. "Sunday Jackson is free!" said @RepRileyMoore. "After more than a decade in prison serving a death sentence for defending himself, Sunday Jackson has been pardoned," Moore continued in a statement on X. "Sunday is a Christian farmer who, like countless of other Christians in Nigeria, was brutally attacked by an Islamic radical." "Sunday fought back in self-defense, killing his attacker. I have been advocating for Sunday’s release both in public and in private meetings, including during my recent Congressional Delegation visit to Nigeria..." "Our Lord came to set the captives free, and now Sunday will be able to celebrate Christmas with his family. Thanks be to God!"
