I always look after my friends.

Said goodbye to Larry exactly a year ago today. I adopted him right after my Dad died and he really helped me focus on something other than my sadness. He was a gentle giant - relaxed around other dogs, very sweet with children that would come up to pet him - he put a smile on everyone's face. Yes, I only had him for the last few years of his life; but man, we had a good run and I loved sharing him with all of you.

I'm dying.

I started the Egg Nog Wars last year (see below), and I regret nothing. If you hate egg nog, it's safe to say you probably have a chromosomal defect and are questioning your sexuality. Also, egg nog goes hand in hand with figgy pudding and gay apparel - both of which I endorse.

I am not worthy to be included in the company of our Vietnam brethren - as a matter of fact, it was reading about Special Forces and MACV-SOG that made me enlist right after graduating college. We stand on the shoulders of legends. This will be an honor.
