American living in Oslo here- My kids go to a daycare that I could never possibly afford in the U.S. Outside for hours every day, daily lunch provided, weekly field trips. The U.S. could never. Norway is welcoming. Filled with kind people and community. Hope this helps.
WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE President Trump escalated his invective against Norway, calling it a ‘shit house country’ and saying Norwegian immigrants are not welcome in the United States because the Nobel committee, based in the capital Oslo, has not awarded him a Peace Prize reut.rs/3U1joSt

It's the same pretty much everywhere with rent controls. A story from Berlin:
True in Spain too. Every landlord in Madrid and Barcelona screens the renters now. This is an obvious consequence of rent control. The most vulnerable, ostensible protected by the legislation, are in fact excluded from the rental market: if you cannot be evicted for non payment, then you are too risky a renter.

Dr Evil: “My father would make outrageous claims, like he invented the question mark.”
Trump: “My uncle invented radar. Can you believe it?” (Fact check: false)

Men man kanske läser/ser 2-3 pjäser i skolan, och alla läser ju inte samma pjäser. Då blir totalen per pjäs lägre.

I had the privilege of watching him countless times at the Globe, though. Always brilliant.

I think @andyburnham wants to rejoin the EU. Not spin. It's incredibly bold to even raise free movement. Perhaps testing the water to see if public opinion on immigration has changed. The Europeans are paying attention

Mark Rylance is such a wonderful actor.
Probably my favourite version. It's much less bombastic than Olivier's or Branagh's. #StCrispinsDay

Barack Obama decided to hit Pete Hegseth with the elbow from the top rope. Absolutely brutal takedown.

Ha, this is savage.
I am a perfectly ordinary person. I am simply a human being. Perhaps not as great a humanist as Putin—but, in any case, I try to do everything in my power. — Zelenskyy.

We’ve been doing this for years in Sweden. It’s not a deep state conspiracy, it’s common sense.
“Be ready by having some everyday essentials… three litres of water per person per day, tinned goods... to last a few days” Speaking to @vicderbyshire, Defence Secretary Wes Streeting details advice to households to be prepared for a “dangerous and turbulent world”. #Newsnight
