I am sorry, I really can’t be of help as I am not rich. I work a minimum wage job, things I post are either gifts, paid for In instalments or save up for, for a very long time.
There’s a difference between BEST BEFORE and USE BY.
Using these cookies as an example:
Best before refers to quality, not safety. After the date, the cookies may lose some freshness, taste or texture, but they can still be perfectly safe to eat if stored properly.
Use by, on the other hand, is about food safety. You should NOT eat food after its use-by date, even if it looks or smells fine.
One is about quality; the other is about safety.

The same Brits who advocated for an “Australian-style points based immigration system” during Brexit are now mad their skillless citizens can’t loiter around in Australia for three years doing nothing

I am laughing because 'win-win' assumes you get to choose when to sell. People with a visa deadline don't. Because if your status is revoked or you have to leave for some reason, stamp duty, legal fees, etc eat that ‘profit’, and a rushed sale most times end up as a loss. There’s NO benefit especially if you need your money quickly to steer your ship elsewhere.
Also, this isn't the moment to be telling people who are gutted and scared about their status to go shopping for houses.

Proud to be a part of this journey, we hope it is reviewed and other people join the fight for it to a fair for all. @UNISONWales
He doesn’t even need to convince you to vote him for a second term.
Governor Alex Otti did not spend ₦10 billion installing a solar mini-grid at the Government House. Instead, the solar mini-grid was installed on a public facility.
He reported the project as completed “We have successfully done it”, unlike many politicians who only make promises and say “We will.”
Alex Otti made governance look easy. God bless Governor Alex Otti, God bless Prof. Nnenna Oti, and God bless Ndi Abia.

Petition: Legislate to protect ILR applicants from retrospective changes
Keep the 5-year ILR route for people already in the UK and do not apply new settlement rules retrospectively. Future changes should apply only to new arrivals. We support waiting up to 10 years for access to public funds if the 5-year ILR pathway is protected.

Some people actually don’t mind the 10-year route. The problem now is that your savings and emergency funds are wiped out with every visa renewal, leaving you back at square one.

While it was never assumed that it was only going to affect social care workers, it was clear they were going to get the shortest end of the stick. So there wasn’t much uproar from some quarters because care workers had it worse.
