Would it kill reporters to give Tovah Feldshuh's remarks on this topic some context? Adam Brody is not the one with a history of bigotry.
“Nobody Wants This” star Tovah Feldshuh responds to Adam Brody’s comments last month, in which he called for a “Free Palestine” and said "put me down as thinking it’s a genocide":
“To accuse the Jewish people of genocide is wild. It’s right out of Hitler’s playbook. You take the victim and you make the victim the perpetrator. I believe that the perseverance of the existence of the state of Israel is crucial to the well-being of the democratic world and of the free world,” Feldshuh said. “Of course, Israel needs the United States, [but] the United States needs Israel, believe you me.”

It’s deeply disrespectful to us Brazilians, who spent 20 days mobilizing across the country, standing up to Big Tech and imperialist forces, to credit our victory as a nation to an American billionaire who said absolutely nothing about our elections. Delete this shit, @Variety.

There should be a name for this phenomenon, when a female character provides important context for the male protagonist and his downfall, but she gets recontextualized as a "wet blanket" or spoilsport by fans who prefer superficiality. I propose "Skyler Whitewashing."

80% of the majority in the Obergefell decision were appointed by Clinton and Obama and confirmed by a Democratic controlled Senate.
Crack open a fucking book on American history next time, jackass.
Democrats did nothing for gay marriage. It was achieved entirely thanks to individuals pursuing equal protection plans through the federal courts
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
4 of 5 Obergefell SCOTUS Justices were appointed by Clinton and Obama. The 2022 Respect for Marriage Act, signed by Biden, also protects gay marriage if it is overturned
D State Legislatures have also passed laws on the state level (e.g. NY 2011 Marriage Equality Act)

‘See’ Soars But ‘Sun’ Sinks as ‘Wildwood’ Whelms and ‘Wicker’ Wows (Weekend Box Office)...

‘You Can See Everything’ tripled its screen count and jumped 25% while Black Bear finally has a domestic success in the non- ‘Clayface’ weekend movie money news... via @ScottMendelson

Weekend Box Office: #Clayface tops the box office with $24 million in North America (and $43 million worldwide), yet another sign that Marvel/DC movies are no longer any more of a sure thing than non-comic-book genre offerings.

If original cast return as their original characters then it’s not a reboot, it’s a revival.
How do we lose this battle?
So, #Clayface is less a horror flick than a supernatural/pseudoscience revenge thriller. While fun and sometimes clever, this DC Studios genre approximation feels restrained and leans on IP awareness and brand-specific fandom to compensate for its comparative shortcomings.
It's a common conundrum in this decade's superhero films: the implicit notion that "fans" will accept an inferior riff on (in this case) RoboCop, The Crow, & Upgrade because it's a DC comic book movie and stars a Batman villain.

Nathan Fielder's Elizabeth Holmes-centric documentary further shows that, while audiences may like or gravitate toward PLF theaters, such engagements shouldn't be treated as a pass/fail metric for a successful theatrical release.

With $21 million at the domestic #boxoffice after five days in theaters, #YouCanSeeEverything is another example of how the right movie can succeed with or without IMAX, Dolby or any other "premium large format" auditoriums.

We still work there and the guy behind the LOGAN materials is @ElyO, who continues to deliver insanely good campaigns for the studio!
The oddest thing about the otherwise superb WILDWOOD is that the sweeping action fantasy is actually much more narratively straightforward and a bit less emotionally melancholy than its goosebump-inducing trailers imply. But yeah, @LAIKAStudios's batting average remains 1.00.

I do find it amusing that at least some of the post-release "controversy" over You Can See Everything, a film that is (among other things) about unreliable narrators, is based upon the notion that its filmmakers took everything its subject said at face value.
All respect, but I'd argue that the film's blow-out success ($15.6 million for the weekend) is another positive sign that movies don't need premium-large format auditoriums to pull best-case-scenario box office.
I think it’s time for You Can See Everything to get an IMAX and Dolby Cinema release! This is clearly the most popular movie of the year and is destined to win multiple Academy Awards. Let’s make it happen, @A24 @IMAX @nathanfielder! 🙌
He must also unequivocally condemn 'The Chevy Chase Show, 'Superman 64,' 'Chinese Democracy,' the series finale of 'How I Met Your Mother,' the Dark Universe and that tonally-askew "Rocky vs. Drago" cut of 'Rocky IV.'
Unless Abdul El-Sayed can unequivocally condemn the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Hezbollah, SJP, the IRGC, and Hasan Piker, Barack Obama should absolutely not campaign with him.
I understand and support the drive to win majorities in Congress, but we Democrats will be doing immeasurable harm to ourselves if we drop all standards and violate our best principles in pursuit of that goal.
