A friendly reminder to the Product Managers out there - block your calendars for thinking time. We forget that #prodmgmt is a creative job at the end of the day. It's not about completing rote tasks, but about deep thinking. And for that you need time away from meetings.

As I also said, it is one of the best methods for shifting things from (in Cynefin terms) liminal complex to complicated & there is huge value in its body of methods. I get irritated by some of the #shallowagile criticisms; mostly motivated by a desire to sell some alternative

If you expect everybody to be 100% busy in a system, people will find ways to look busy, which hides waste and hurts flow. ~@MarkGraban

Thank you to Sjoerd Nijland for reporting on the biggest risk to #agile.

In effect, this asserts that a 99% reduction in efficiency is less expensive than reducing effectiveness from 100% to 90%. There are probably more rigorous ways to think of efficiency & effectiveness, by viewing effectiveness as a scalar vs. binary variable.

The Surprising Genius of 3D Printed Rockets youtu.be/kz165f1g8-E. For anyone who thinks agile can’t do hardware. Cycle time for VAC tool using waterfall=11 years, cycle time to first flight using agile =5 years. #veritasium
