The present moment is the only place where you can truly make a difference.
Don't carry yesterday's failures or worry about the unknown.
Focus on what you can control.

Every trader who has studied trading for a year knows what they are suppose to do. So many fail because so few have the discipline and self control to do it.

Trading's strange because there's almost nothing else in life where you can do less and get more reward.
Going to the gym for example takes discipline and consistency, turning up every day and putting in the work. The more you do, the more you get back.
With trading, you're forced at times to do nothing day after day, which is the complete opposite of what we were taught growing up.
And the worst part is it doesn't sell very well for a trading course.

I got another email from a big publisher asking me to write a book. While I'm always humbled by these emails, I have zero interest in writing a book. Almost everything I've learned has already been written before. The best thing I can say is work on your mental and work on your confidence. It's takes time, a lot of patience, tons of hard work, and obviously a little luck and grace from above. Unfortunately, most people don't want to put in the work. Trust me, it's worth it. Very few jobs will teach you more about yourself than trading.

University of Chicago Students to Protest at Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Demand End to Federal Ban on Onion Futures
Student-led group For Our Futures will rally Monday morning to call for repeal of the 1958 Onion Futures Act
On Monday, October 19, at 8:30 a.m., members of For Our Futures, a student-led organization from @UChicago, will gather outside the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (@CMEGroup) headquarters to demand the repeal of the Onion Futures Act of 1958, a nearly 70-year-old federal law prohibiting futures trading in onions.
The Onion Futures Act, enacted following allegations of market manipulation in the 1950s, singled out onions for a prohibition on futures contracts that remains in effect today. For Our Futures is calling on Congress to repeal the ban and restore the ability of onion growers, buyers, and traders to participate in a regulated futures market. Onions remain the only commodity banned from futures trading in the United States.
The protest will feature a giant inflatable onion costume, protest signs, and dozens of students, and will take place outside the headquarters of CME Group, one of the world's largest derivatives marketplaces and the historic center of American onion futures trading.

Marc Andreessen (@pmarca) on founders taking psychedelics:
“I was describing this phenomenon we see in Silicon Valley where these guys get under pressure and they feel anxious and somebody tells them about psychedelics.
They try it and they kind of come out the other end as a changed person. And they kind of come out much more at peace, but then they also tend to like quit their companies and they move to Indonesia and become a surf instructor.
They just peace out. They're just done.
There's been a whole bunch of examples of this and I was complaining to @hubermanlab about this and in true Huberman kind of wise Yoda style, he's like, "Well, you know, how do you know they're not happier? Maybe that was the positive outcome. Maybe the thing that was driving them to be a great entrepreneur was a fundamental level of insecurity. They had this kind of unsatisfied, neurotic impulse, and now, they're just satisfied.”
And I'm like, "Yeah, but their company, it's failing."
Ari Emanuel says @pmarca is wrong that psychedelics make founders work less hard:
“That’s complete bulls**t. I had this argument with Marc.”
“5-MeO-DMT, that’s the best psychedelic in the world.”
“With 5-MeO, you smoke it. You’re tripping for about 30 minutes, and you realize how small we are in the world, and how meaningless in a weird way. Not in a bad way that you don’t want to work or anything, that you’re not aggressive or any of that. You just realize... you want a meaningful life.”
“I’m not half-assing things. Zero. There’s still plenty of calls. I’m up at 5:00 this morning, worked out, in the office, did another podcast. I got you. I’m going to Montecito for something. I’m working my tail off.”
