Some of us have decided to read text messages sent from the last moments of people’s lives in Israel. Yes, this is disturbing and heartbreaking, but it’s something I have decided to do in hopes it can continue to convey the depth of pain and suffering the Jewish people and the Israeli population are experiencing as we defend our right to exist. #TheLastMessage #HamasisISIS

I’m being asked to advertise children’s, youth & family ministry jobs daily at the moment. Many churches advertising for the second or third time & still struggling to appoint. The supply is definitely not meeting the demand & sadly that could mean poor appointments…

I see the far right are trying to insinuate that a transition to a green economy is going to make people poorer

And on top of it all [the world right now], Sister Catherine Wybourne, aka @DigitalNun, has gone to glory. I will miss her so much. Her death was expected and prepared for, but it still feels like a shock. She was a kind and wickedly fun nun, a true sister, as well as a Sister.

ALT One of the last things Sister Catherine wrote: “The God in whom I believe is much bigger, and so much more fun, than we often allow him to be. I thank him for letting me be a Benedictine, which has been the supreme joy of my life… “I ought to thank him for the difficulties, too, but I don’t ‘do’ piety. Brutal honesty is more my line. I know he understands.”

Whether you're looking at admissions or patients in hospital, it's simply not true to claim hospital numbers are off the scale compared to last year. Indeed, they currently look far more stable.

NHS England CEO Amanda Pritchard claimed the number of people with Covid in hospitals is 14x higher than last year.
It's not. It's 1.6 times lower.
Ms Pritchard was comparing data from August 2021 and August 2020.
