Netanyahu’s Likud has dropped from 32 seats (26,67%) to 25 seats (20,83%). The Palestinian bloc led by Mansour Abbas jumped from 5 seats (4,17%) to 17 seats (14,17%). The turnout by Palestinian-Israelis had Netanyahu self-combusting all day.

The Eisenkot bloc must form government with the Palestinian bloc and kick Netanyahu and his right-wing allies out of power. 61 seats are needed to win. The Eisenkot bloc (53 seats) and Palestinians (17 seats), will have the requisite majority for Netanyahu to go to prison.

Fighter Nyakallo Mokoena is clear: in the EFF, treating women as equals is not a quota for show, it’s the culture. Over 50% women in structures and candidates is normal. Women are competent, given real decision-making power, and already leading. That’s the difference. ❤️🖤💚

🇴🇲 Oman says excluding Iran from Gulf security has been a fundamental mistake: 🔸Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi criticized decades of Gulf security arrangements built around excluding Iran and relying on foreign military powers, calling for a new regional security framework that includes Tehran. 🔸“Perhaps the most damaging of the priorities imposed on the region from the outside has been the requirement that Iran be excluded,” he said during a lecture at Cambridge University. 🔸This, he said, created an unstable system based on the “entirely false perception” of fundamental antagonism between Iran and Arab Gulf states. “There is no such fundamental antagonism,” he said, adding that any security architecture excluding Iran is “inherently unstable” and “structurally unsound.” 🔸He also said that Oman and Iran had developed the outline of a temporary arrangement to restore navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, but said implementation would require compromises by both Tehran and Washington. More in post linked below.
🇴🇲 Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi called for a non-aggression pact among the six Gulf Arab states, alongside Iran and Iraq, that would end the US role as the region’s primary security provider, speaking at Cambridge University on Monday. Gulf security has “relied for too long on the involvement of external powers,” Albusaidi told an audience of over 100 diplomats and foreign policy specialists, making issues like the Strait of Hormuz “impossible to resolve.” He said “perhaps the most damaging” priority imposed on the region from outside was the exclusion of Iran for nearly 50 years: “Not just excluded. Worse. Positioned as the threat against which regional security had to be organized.” In what The Guardian described as an indirect challenge to President Trump’s case for renewed strikes on Iran, amid reports that the US and Israel are considering another round of attacks, Albusaidi reiterated that the US-Iran talks Oman mediated in February were “making significant progress” and that “an agreement was within reach” when the war was launched. “We still stand by that judgement today,” he said. The speech came the same day Saudi, Pakistani and Turkish officials met Iranian leaders in Tehran.

We are one!
The Islamic Republic of Iran’s support for the people of South Africa in their struggle against Apartheid is deeply rooted in the history of our two nations. We honour the memory of the late Oliver Tambo, one of the leaders of South Africa’s liberation struggle, on his birthday.

Lula da Silva wins Brazil's presidency in a huge blow to Bolsonaro's backers in Washington and Israel. A major victory for young voters and pro-Palestine solidarity in Latin America. Bolsonaro mocked Lula for losing a finger as a factory worker, insulting the very working class he needed to win. Now he's struggling to accept defeat, scrambling for excuses instead of conceding.

A voter was interviewed on Israeli news, along with two first-time voters, about what led them to choose who to vote for. One of them said that his main issue was that "I don't want there to be Arabs here in the country." The reporter nodded enthusiastically. Say hello to the next generation of Israeli voter.
