Jennifer Hale made a statement on BioWare closure and EA saying EA never understood BioWare and she hopes someone can buy and save the Mass Effect IP, among others🚀
“It’s really hard to think about BioWare being shut down, but it was in the hands of ownership that may not have understood what BioWare fully is.
And I’m hopeful that maybe there might be some crazy thing where they decide that, in order to increase their profit margins—which is often their priority—they will release these IPs into the market to sell them, and use that to do what they do, which is increase their profit margins.
Maybe someone could grab hold of these IPs and do something with them.
Mark Darrah also echoed her sentiment in a statement within the same interview:
“EA doesn’t understand BioWare. I’d argue it was an accidental acquisition.
EA bought VG Holding—which included BioWare and Pandemic—largely to acquire Pandemic and Knights of the Old Republic, because it wanted an MMO and the Battlefront developers.
In doing so, it ended up with BioWare Edmonton, the core old-school RPG studio. EA never really understood what it wanted from BioWare.”

I bought it on release, but held off on playing it for a while because of the bugs. I later started playing it after the 2.0 update and I regularly play it every so often now.
The Panam/Aldecaldos ending. V chooses the people that matter most to her and leaves Night City.
That said, I do think the Tower ending and the Devil ending (at least the one where V leaves the Arasaka station) are interesting even if they're downers.
Cherami Leigh. Her range is outstanding and she's played some of my favorite characters (V, Makoto from Persona 5).
It's close between Arasaka and Militech. Arasaka has the Shakespearean family drama and the backstory tie to V, while Militech had the NUSA and the Phantom Liberty connections.
I always play V as a Corpo. I like the idea that V's story is about a former Arasaka assassin/counterintel agent who's trying to reclaim her soul and put people before profit. The temptation of the Devil ending is the promise of recovering what was taken from her.
The Mox, as they're mostly about protecting their own. Though my V tries not to kill Valentinos out of respect for Jackie.
1. I play V as a "justice for hire" merc trying to atone for what she did for Arasaka.
2. Purple is her favorite color and I usually slip purple in her design somewhere.
3. She will sometimes steal from Arasaka, seeing it as repayment for what Arasaka took from her.
