he ends up asking her for a final crack, and it was so good that she decides to stay with him(her hb) and ditch her side piece. Her side piece dumped his gf for her, but she still stayed in a marriage. What a masterpiece of a movie. Absolutely love it. “Closer” 2004

I pray no one ever forgets that.

I will never be able to put into words how disquieting I find this country's *insatiable* pursuit of new lows.

Saw someone say that humans have been dealing with mental health issues for thousands of years before meds, and yeah, a lot of us were killing ourselves, babe. Either quick through immediately lethal means or slow through alcoholism and risky life choices.
He’s always been so gross for this.
In May 1993, 39-year-old comedian Jerry Seinfeld, then at the height of his fame with his hit sitcom Seinfeld, met 17-year-old high school senior Shoshanna Lonstein at Central Park in New York City. Seinfeld approached Lonstein, spoke with her briefly, and obtained her phone number, beginning a romantic relationship shortly after.
The news quickly made national headlines and became a frequent topic for tabloids and late-night television, drawing significant public backlash due to the 22-year age gap and the fact that Lonstein was still attending prep school. Despite the scrutiny, the relationship did not violate any laws because New York's legal age of consent was 17.
After graduating from the Horace Mann School, Lonstein enrolled at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., partly to escape the intense media spotlight in New York, though Seinfeld regularly flew down to visit her in his private jet. She later transferred to UCLA to be closer to Seinfeld’s filming schedule in Los Angeles and began pursuing a career in fashion design.
The couple remained together for roughly four years before mutally splitting in 1997, citing severe media fatigue, constant paparazzi harassment, and Lonstein’s desire to focus on her education and business rather than living in the shadow of Seinfeld's massive celebrity status.
Despite the intense media circus surrounding their 22-year age gap, mainstream press in the mid-1990s largely framed the relationship as a quirky Hollywood romance rather than a scandal. People Magazine put the couple on their March 1994 cover with the headline "Look Who's In Love," brushing off the dynamic as merely an "unlikely romance." When publicly questioned about dating a high schooler, Seinfeld famously defended himself by stating, "Shoshanna is a person, not an age," and insisted, "My interest in her is very proper." Meanwhile, Howard Stern routinely mocked Seinfeld on his radio show by playing a parody song called "Seinfeld's Girl," set to the tune of the Beach Boys' "California Girls."

I do believe there are crimes deserving of the death penalty.
I also believe we can’t trust the state to implement it fairly and only execute the guilty. Therefore we should not have it.

This country's obsession with trans ppl these last 10 years is one of the weirdest things I've ever witnessed.
The Dem nominee in #OHGov said "I do not support boys playing in girls sports" last week. Getting some blowback for it; OHDems' progressive caucus says its members are now less "ready to door knock for her."
