We are literally doomed
American High School English Teacher reads real responses from her student’s assignment after reading The Great Gatsby
We have a serious education issue in America and if we don’t address it, we have a horrible future ahead of us
These kind of responses are to be expected because 12th grade reading results in 2024 in America showed that reading levels right now the lowest they’ve ever been since the assessment began in 1992

I love seeing everyone jump on the Elly De La Cruz to LA bandwagon! I've been driving it for over a year now, but there are still some seats still available. If you want to maximize Ohtani's prime and this rotation. JDP has a lot of potential, but Elly is only 3 years older and is a proven All-Star that plays a premium position.

On this day in #Dodgers history:
October 28, 1981
Down 0-2 to the Yankees, the Dodgers won 4 straight to capture the World Series.
But here's what made it historic:
Ron Cey, Pedro Guerrero and Steve Yeager shared WS MVP honors.
Still the ONLY time 3 players have shared the award!

One year ago today, Shohei Ohtani put together one of the GREATEST World Series performances EVER. 🤯
4-for-4
2 HR
2 Doubles
5 Walks
Reached base in all 9 plate appearances
He became just the second player in World Series history to record 4 extra-base hits in a game. 😱

A decade ago, I made a choice that changed the trajectory of my life. I had no idea what the next 10 years would hold, but I kept going. Today, I celebrate not just the years, but the woman, mother, and human being I fought to become. 10 years sober. Forever grateful. 🤍

Aaron Rodgers sat at that podium in Paris and said out loud what the corporate league office spends millions trying to sanitize.
The NFL talks endlessly about “player safety” and “expanding the global game.” But behind closed doors, owners scrapped player-friendly bye weeks, forced a brutal 17th regular-season game, and shipped franchises across oceans simply because there was another dollar to squeeze out of foreign TV markets.
While families and players navigate locked-down streets, civil tension, and grueling travel schedules, ownership sits in five-star suites counting international expansion checks.
Rodgers doesn't care about league fines anymore. He’s telling you the truth: in the modern NFL, the brand and the balance sheet come first. The humans on the field come second.
