Worth attending for the TNBC session alone. Immunotherapy combinations in that space are still evolving fast, and hearing how the panel weighs new SABCS data would be valuable. #bcsm

Congratulations, Dr. @Jani_Chinmay!
🏆 The most memorable moment at @FLASCO_ORG Fall 2026 was a wonderful surprise: receiving the Trailblazer Award for innovation and commitment to patients with cancer across Florida! FLASCO has been instrumental in my training and growth as an oncologist - from supporting education and research to creating opportunities for mentorship, leadership, and collaboration. Receiving this honor from a community that has played such an important role in my journey makes it especially meaningful. 🙏 Deeply grateful to the FLASCO leadership, staff, and colleagues for their continued support. @EddieSantosMD @SylvesterCancer @HemOncMiami @GlopesMd @JTrentMDPhD @DrOlaLandgren @Latinamd @LuisRaezMD @jrgralow @ASCOTECAG @DocOncMD

Honoring the memory of Dr. @rachnatshroff , whose leadership, kindness, and commitment to advancing cancer care left a lasting impact. May her legacy continue to inspire. ❤️
support.conquer.org/p2p/site… Dr. @rachnatshroff has dedicated her career to advancing cancer research and supporting the next generation of investigators. She is now working to permanently endow the Conquer Cancer – Rachna Shroff, MD, MS, FASCO Young Investigator Award in Biliary Cancer — creating an opportunity for that work and impact to continue for generations to come. Please consider taking a moment to read her message, make a gift if you’re able, or simply share it with others. Every contribution and share can help bring this incredibly meaningful goal closer to reality.

There is an especially outlandish conspiracy theory that oncologists are hiding the cure for cancer Its proponents must think us particularly noble, then, when we sacrifice our lives to keep the secret: forgoing a panacea and succumbing to the very disease we treat Dr. Shroff is not the only “wounded healer” I’ve known, but her legacy is far more than the wretched illness that claimed her own life too soon She did her very best to push oncology forward, especially for patients with notoriously difficult-to-treat biliary tract cancers (a close relative, anatomically and sometimes pathophysiologically, to pancreatic adenocarcinoma) I remember her incredible humility to stand at the podium at one of our largest scientific conferences and admit that a triplet therapy had not produced the benefits she had hoped for, allowing biological plausibility to cede to data yielded from the clinical trial she conceived & ran Our field is full of such examples of good ideas failing to reach fruition, but we can only get better by admitting what’s not working as well as promoting true advances When the history books are written, most, if not all chemo will look like grand folly, akin to our modern view of, say, blood-letting But it is because of visionary physician-scientists like Rachna that we are making any progress at all: doing the best we can today while realizing there must be a better way and testing rigorously our ideas of how we might get there May she be remembered in part for her tireless work, born out of irrepressible hope and true caring for her own patients as well as ones she never met (she never failed to kindly & helpfully answer a question I posed to her when I faced a management conundrum in her niche of cholangiocarcinoma) RIP to a dear colleague (link in post below to a fund for young investigators named & bestowed in her honor)
We join the oncology community in mourning the passing of Dr. Rachna T. Shroff, a renowned GI cancers expert and a dedicated ASCO volunteer. We are humbled by her dedication and strive to honor her legacy of commitment and altruism. Read more: bit.ly/4e7jBKu

Today’s approval makes 11 in #breastcancer since May 1! Google “FDA oncology approvals” for searchable list of heme/oncology FDA approvals (2006 to now) w/ a concise description of each, in reverse chronological order. A+ for Boards prep or clinical practice. #OncTwitter #bcsm
Pretty stunning review on advances in breast cancer treatment in this week’s NEJM So many new approvals since 2020 that they could only fit on a 2-page centerfold!!! Looks like it’s the roaring 20s in breast cancer research! #bcsm
